The Department of Computer Science (PG) conducted the first edition of Tech Talk Series for the III & V Semester MCA students on “Enterprise Application Development with Java, Spring & Cloud” to gain knowledge on recent development of Enterprise Applications with Java, Spring and Cloud. Mr. Ananthan Narayanaswamy, Senior Software Engineer, Bazaar voice Inc. (U.S.A) was the Resource person.
This first session of the tech talk was a refreshing session on Java and cloud and an introduction to spring technology. He explained the need for conceptual knowledge and its importance, and a new outlook towards the industry project about their requirements. He threw light on the present project making methods in colleges and in the industry. He started with an introduction to how to make a project and the need to select a right technology to for the project it is not the suggestion of a customer but us according to the requirement analysis. Gave some insights as how the AGILE computing and how to implement it and its need. He clearly stated that depended on the requirement of the customers. All above all is the satisfaction of a customer and that is the actual successful project.
The resource person, Mr. Ananthan then spoke about the JAVA, and he asked some questions so that he could activated the energy of the crowd, In which the students actively participated and then he stated the class it was a refreshing on Java. He explained the needs, the different Java technologies (Java ME, Java SE, J2EE, etc.) and the features. He also had prepared and explained about the Architecture of Java. He also showed two videos so that we could understand the topics well.
Then he spoke about SPRING, since it was a new topic for the gathering so he stated speaking about them from the basic he said the properties and how it makes the J2EE technology easier. Then he explained the motives of spring and some projects where it can be used. As it was a new topic for us, it was ignite to the spring technology.
Then he spoke about the CLOUD technology, the basic cloud providers, and the need and use of cloud. He also taught us the cloud architecture, fundamental services and its need in industry.
Mr. Ananthan Narayanaswamy, expressed his happiness about the participants’ involvement, dedication and wished everyone to work on various data mining applications. Prof. R. Kumar, Head of the Dept. expressed his gratitude with a memento and thanked Mr. Ananthan.
On the whole, the session enlightened everyone on new technologies and helped us to use these technologies in our future projects and to study them as the industry requirements.
The students were especially favoured with the opportunity to learn the new technologies used in the industry, to concentrate on the future in the industry and to learn on Java, SPRING and CLOUD.
