Faculty of commerce and Management of our college organized a guest lecture on Publication in International Journals as a part of its Research Empowerment Series to empower its faculty members to publish their papers in International journals. The session was held on 27/06/2016 at panel room II. The session was chaired by Dr. Justin Paul, Professor Graduate School of Business, University of Puerto Rico USA. Dr.V.Muthukumar, Faculty, Department of Commerce introduced the resource person to the gatherings.
In his Speech, Dr.Paul covered the following key areas of research paper publication in international journals. There are different types of articles like Review Articles, Empirical papers, Conceptual papers, Articles with Cases. Plain Vanilla Articles are never considered under such categories for publishing. Registering in Research gate (https://www.researchgate.net/) and Academia.edu (https://www.academia.edu/) are highly appreciated for getting an idea on Research. Google Scholar helps one to cite articles easily. An Abstract must be lesser than 200 words. An introduction must spread across 2 pages ideally. Provide info under Introduction on questions like :Why is your research phenomenal?, Which theoretical lens have used?, What was done before and what's so unique and original about your study?. Summarize theoretical and analytical approaches, Focus or highlight the findings, Cite Maximum and recent articles, Derive your hypothesis not on assumption, but on literature review. There are various methods that could be followed. Few of them are- Review Articles, Meta studies and Quant studies. Conclusions must have lines pointing as to why your results are so interesting? You can list out few limitations of your study and directions for future research. Gather as much of citations that you can from maximum different journals listed on SSCI, UK-ABS, Australia ABDC (Preferrable) List.
