On the occasion of 70th Independence Day volunteers of Centre for Social Activities visited Home of Hope to invoke a true sense of community participation and service. At 8.30am flag was hoisted with National Anthem. Volunteers performed cultural activities, conducted games and served breakfast for inmates of Home. Members of CSA actively interacted with the inmates and donated grocery like sugar, dhal and eatables of Rs 11000. There were about 150 volunteers along with the faculty coordinators Mr. Manjunath.S, Mrs. Preethi and Dr. A J Excelce.
The experience was, without shadow of a doubt, one of the most rewarding and fulfilling we had. It was an afternoon spent between fun and games and getting to know the children; we were a small reason to make them smile. This indeed was a great experience. By the end of the visit, we had learned most of their names and they had learned ours. - Kavya S, 3rd Sem BBM C.
