Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) follows a continuous, comprehensive, and learner-centric evaluation framework comprising formative assessments, end-semester evaluations, and structured academic norms across all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
All Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes follow a semester system where a semester has ninety working days.
The MBA programme follows a trimester system and has six trimesters. Each trimester will have 60-65 working days.
Standard three-year undergraduate degree programmes designed for foundational and core academic competencies.
Four-year honours degree programmes integrating advanced research dissertations and industry specialisations.
Five-year integrated law degree programmes (BA LLB / BBA LLB / B.Com LLB) following comprehensive statutory legal curriculum.
Two-year postgraduate degree programmes with intensive domain specialisation, project work, and research orientation.
Industry-aligned management programme operating on a rigorous trimester cycle with continuous experiential learning.
All courses are assigned credits. A 'credit' is generally a 'value' used to measure a student's workload in terms of learning time required to complete course units, resulting in learning outcomes. The total credits to be earned by a student for Graduation is given in the curriculum.
For II, IV & VI Semester UG and II & IV Semester PG Programmes (Except MBA Programme)
The End Semester Examinations for II, IV & VI Semester UG and II & IV Semester PG Programmes (Except MBA Programme) (Practical and Theory Courses) will be held during March/April/May 2026. Students are hereby informed to prepare well for the examination and pay the examination fee as per the schedule below. Examination fee details and guidelines are published on the University website.
A student will be allowed to appear for the examination if and only if:
FA and SA marks distribution for UG (2024-27) batch is given below:
UG 2024 Batch shall follow Formative Assessment marks with 20% weightage and SA marks with 80% weightage.
FA and SA marks distribution for LLB (2024-29) batch is given below
FA and SA marks distribution for UG (2025-28) & (2026-29) batch are given below:
UG 2025 Batch shall follow generic mark distribution with Formative Assessment marks of 40 % weightage and SA of 60 % weightage(except for Two Credit Project/Internship/Certification and Three Credit Certification Courses).
* DSC/E Three Credit Theory Courses that have an associated Practical Course of one credit
** The Department/School can give due weightage to the Project Report and Presentation
Note:
• Internship Report (Two Copies) to be submitted as a soft copy
• Project report (Two Copies) to be submitted as a hard-bound copy
• DSC 4-credit courses whose MTE1 and SA examinations are to be conducted as practical lab sessions will have the fourth alphanumeric character from the end designated as 'B' in the course code, which denotes blended mode (though content delivery shall be done via lecture sessions), e.g., 25BAE1B431. These kinds of courses will have FA and SA components similar to those of DSC 4-credit theory courses.
Credits and Formative/Summative Assessment marks distribution of PG courses:

Alternative Evaluation : The FA component (Midterm) marks of any one Four/Three Credit PG Course belonging to II or III Semester shall be evaluated based on Research Paper Publication / Developing a Concept to Design / Prototype Development / Project / Business Model / Behavioural Case Formulation / Scripting / Storyboarding
The number of Units in the blown-up syllabus for UG/PG Programmes under the Semester system shall be as follows:
4 Credit Theory Course: 4 or 5 Units
3 Credit Theory Course: 3 or 4 Units
2 Credit Theory Course: 2 or 3 Units
For the courses offered by the PG Programmes following the Trimester system, a maximum of five units shall be present for the three credit theory courses, and a maximum of four units for the two credit theory courses.

There is a grievance redressal cell which include COE and Asst. COE’s. Grievances pertaining to CIA or FA component marks should be addressed to the COE/Asst.COE’s through the appropriate mail id(examgrievance@kristujayanti.com) within two days from the announcement of CIA/FA component marks in the Campus Management Solution. Grievances pertaining to End Semester Examination/SA marks should be addressed to the COE/Asst. COE’s through the appropriate mail id (examgrievance@kristujayanti.com) within three days from the announcement of the ESE or SA results. Grievances will be addressed within ten days of the request by the COE.
Grievances pertaining to CIA or FA component marks should be addressed to the COE/Asst.COE’s through the appropriate mail id (examgrievance@kristujayanti.com) within two days from the announcement of CIA/FA component marks in the Campus Management Solution.
Grievances pertaining to End Semester Examination/SA marks should be addressed to the COE/Asst. COE’s through the appropriate mail id (examgrievance@kristujayanti.com) within three days from the announcement of the ESE or SA results.
