Student Journeys (Real Voices, Real Experiences)
Admission to Kristu Jayanti was like a light at the end of a dark tunnel post my 12th grade. I chose BA Psychology against all skepticism and expectations. You see, I was "destined to be a doctor". Nevertheless, I walked ahead, scared but firm and was graciously met with a warm embrace. Kristu Jayanti provided a safe haven to truly hone my skills beyond academics. It gave ample opportunities to sharpen my leadership and interpersonal skills. I truly enjoyed being in the organising team of many fests, be part of pro -environment drives, compere events, participate in the debate club, and many more. I graduated with my head held up high, not because I received the highest rank, but because I was proud that I said yes to the many opportunities this institution offered leading to becoming the person I have come to respect.

My years at this college were some of the most formative and memorable times of my life. Beyond academics, it was a place where I built lifelong friendships, discovered my interests, and grew in confidence. The faculty were always approachable and supportive, creating an environment where students felt encouraged to learn and ask questions. Looking back, I am grateful not only for the education I received but also for the experiences and sense of belonging that made this college feel like a second home.

One of those terms that I heard frequently during undergraduation at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) was 'Holistic Development' and I find this term to encompass my experience at the institution pursuing a double major in Psychology and English. It was exciting to understand books beyond mere letters through fests and co-curricular activities namely Cognizance, Manodarshan, Delphia, Theatre Productions offered by the department and the college. The institution has shaped my cognition to understand theories and concepts in every real life events and conversations through each classroom lectures and discussions that could bridge academics and its application in the world around.
