Kristu Jayanti Scholarship Scheme Categories

Jayantian Achievement Scholarship (JAS)
For excellence in academics
Recognises merit and excellence in academics. Academic performance is evaluated every semester.
  1. Awarded exclusively to students who excel in academics.
  2. Academic excellence is evaluated each semester on a continuous basis.
  3. Minimum 85% attendance in each course in the semester(s).
  4. BA LLB / BCom LLB / BBA LLB: minimum 75% marks required.
  5. BA/BSc (except Life Science/Forensic Science): minimum 75% aggregate (CIA & ESE). B.Com/BBA/BSc (Life Science/Forensic Science)/BCA: minimum 80% aggregate (CIA/ESE).
Jayantians Talent Scholarship (JTS)
For co-curricular & extracurricular excellence
Recognises exemplary performance in co-curricular and extracurricular fields.
  1. For students who excel in literary, fine arts, theatre, music, dance, sports, games or other unique achievements during their time at the University.
  2. Minimum 85% attendance in each course in the immediate semester(s) of the academic year.
  3. Minimum 60% aggregate marks (CIA & End Semester Examinations), with a pass in all courses.
  4. Must have represented the college and won 1st place at University-level sports/games, or 1st/2nd/3rd place at State or National Government-organised sports/games competitions.
  5. Or represented the college and won 1st/2nd/3rd place at State or National level Literary and Cultural competitions organised by a Government agency.
  6. Only achievements from the current academic year are considered.
Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship (JUS)
For economically & socially disadvantaged students
Provides financial support to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  1. Provided to financially disadvantaged students.
  2. Annual family income must be ₹2,00,000 or less.
  3. Minimum 60% aggregate marks (CIA & End Semester Examinations), with a pass in all courses.
  4. Minimum 85% attendance in each course in the previous semester.
  5. The committee scrutinises applications after an interview where the applicant justifies the need for the scholarship.
  6. A certificate of proof of income from the local civil authority is required.
Jayantian Determination (Divyangjan) Scholarship (JDS)
For Divyangjan students
Provides financial assistance to Divyangjan students.
  1. Open to all categories of Divyangjan students.
  2. A certificate/document from a competent authority confirming the disability is required.
  3. Minimum 50% marks in the previous two semesters, with a pass in all subjects.
  4. Minimum 75% attendance in the previous two semesters.

Activities Conducted

Orientation Session
Date: 17 September 2025
As part of the Student Welfare and Scholarship Committee initiative, the School of Law conducted an orientation session on 17 September 2025 for 1st Semester BA LLB, BCom LLB, and BBA LLB students. The session was led by Ms Noedine Danal Marak, a 3rd-semester BA LLB student, who briefed the participants on various government and private scholarship opportunities available across India. She also shared success stories from previous scholarship recipients, encouraging students to pursue these opportunities actively. The interactive session concluded with Ms Noedine addressing all student queries, making it both informative and beneficial.


Online Orientation on Reliance Foundation Scholarship UG and PG
Date: 15 September 2025
Committee organized an online interactive session with Reliance Foundation to fosus on the eligibility and other criteria’s to apply for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship for both UG and PG Programmes.

Student secretaries Mr. Ashith Gouda and Ms. Nisha welcome the resource person of the day Ms. Sneha Dolas. The session highlighted the criteria for applying UG and PG Scholarships and also includes the selection process. Many students shared the question in the chat box and the resource person answered all the queries.


Orientation on Scholarship for I Year BBA Students
Date: 15 September 2025
School of Business and Management organized orientation on Various Scholarship available across India. Mr. Manjunath S, Faculty has a rich experience in the field of Scholarship explained about the various Private and Government scholarships. He stressed how important is to apply various scholarships and also narrated how few students successfully got the scholarship last year. Overall it was an interactive session and Resource person answered all the questions raised by the students.


Online Orientation on Reliance Foundation Scholarship
Date: 25 August 2025
Reliance Foundation UG and PG Scholarship session is organizing orientation session on 25th August 2025 from 11 AM to 12 NOON in Microsoft meeting. The session was attended by the various institution representatives across India. The resource persons highlighted the eligibility criteria including basic and academic criteria for applying UG and PG Scholarships. The session also highlighted the application and selection process. Lot of inputs has given to the representatives to encourage students to apply for the scholarship. This orientation sets the stage for a fulfilling and impactful journey with the Reliance Foundation.
