Message from the Vice Chancellor
The purpose of higher education is not merely the transmission of knowledge, but the transformation of individuals. In a world where information multiplies by the second, true education lies in nurturing discernment, cultivating wisdom, and instilling values that transcend time.
Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) stands today as a testament to this higher vision of education, where intellect meets integrity, and learning becomes a lifelong calling. As we step into this new phase of institutional growth, we continue to uphold the legacy of our founding inspiration, Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) Congregation, who believed education to be the greatest tool for societal transformation.
Our community of learners and educators thrives on the belief that teaching and learning are mutually enriching, and both flourish only in a space that encourages curiosity, dialogue, and service. We do not confine knowledge to the pages of textbooks or the walls of classrooms, we explore it as an evolving journey that prepares our students not just for careers, but for purposeful lives. Aligned in the values of faith, integrity, dignity and excellence, our academic mission is to ignite the light of understanding and illuminate pathways to prosperity, equity, and innovation.
As a Deemed to be University, Kristu Jayanti now embraces a larger canvas. We aspire to scale new academic heights with an enhanced focus on research and a committed aspiration towards community services while staying grounded in our motto: Light and Prosperity. I warmly invite every student, scholar, and seeker of knowledge to become part of this transformative journey and grow with us, intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually.
Welcome to a space where knowledge is sacred, and your future begins with faith.
Fr. Dr. Augustine George CMI
Vice Chancellor In Charge
