Research Cohorts
The Department of Psychology (PG) is committed to advancing rigorous, interdisciplinary, and socially relevant psychological research that addresses contemporary challenges across individuals, organisations, and society. Our research endeavours integrate empirical inquiry, innovative methodologies, and applied perspectives to generate knowledge with meaningful academic and societal impact.
Our research is organised into four interdisciplinary research clusters, each bringing together faculty expertise, student researchers, and collaborative research initiatives around shared areas of inquiry. These clusters provide a platform for interdisciplinary engagement, research collaboration, and the translation of psychological knowledge into evidence-based practices and solutions.
The five research clusters of the Department are:
- School Mental Health and Well-Being Research Cluster
- Cognitive Neuroscience Research Cluster
- Clinical and Health Research Cluster
- Society, Culture and Behaviour Research Cluster
- Organisational Behaviour and Excellence Research Cluster
These interconnected research clusters encompass diverse areas of psychological science while encouraging collaboration across disciplinary boundaries. Together, they support research that contributes to the understanding of human behaviour, mental health and well-being, cognitive and neural processes, social and cultural influences, organisational functioning, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in psychology.
For information on the research areas, ongoing projects, and faculty expertise within each cluster, please explore the respective research cluster pages or the profiles of individual faculty members.
