Dr. Elcey C Daniel is a Professor & Head in the Department of Life Sciences at the Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous under Bengaluru North University, Bengaluru She received her Ph.D. Degree from Banaras Hindu University in 1992. Continuing in research she has completed her CSIR Research Associateship from the Department of Food Microbiology, Central Food Technological Research Institute in the field of Environmental microbiology. She also has received a Research Fellowship from Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Japan and completed her tenure in ONRI, Osaka (AIST Kansai, Ikeda Osaka).Then she has worked as a Faculty member in Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous for 20 Years. She is having 35 Years of Experience in the field of Teaching and Research. Her Area of Expertise includes Microbial Technology, Microbial biodegradation and Nano-biotechnology. She is the author of many International peer reviewed Research articles in addition to a book and a book chapter. She has guided a PhD scholar and many Post graduate dissertations. She is also recipient of industrial and Institutional Research grants apart from being a consultant to industrial projects.
