Dr. S. Vijayanand is an Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru. He completed his Masters Program in Biochemistry from Periyar University and Doctoral degree from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore and Qualified NET in the year 2001. He has 22 Years of Teaching Experience in Undergraduate as well as Post Graduate Level, completed 3 Minor Projects funded by Kumar organics private Ltd Bangalore, Tamilnadu state council for science and Technology and Bodhi niketan Trust .His area of research focus is mainly Phytochemical and Bioactive analysis of ethno medical plants, his precise area of specialization is Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology. He has Published 2 patents, 21 Research articles in National and International peer reviewed Journals, authored 2 Books and 1 book chapter. He is an Advisory Board member for European journal of pharmaceutical and medical research and editorial team for Kristu Jayanti journal of core and applied biology. He served as Resource Person for National and International Conferences, Seminars and Guest lecturers organized by reputed Institutions. He is a Board Member of BoE and BoS of various academic Institutions. He also served as Board Member for Doctoral Degree Programme including Anna University, Chennai, Periyar University, salem and Kannur University. He is a life member of the Indian Science Congress association and recipient of Global Teacher Award from AKS Educational Awards Gurugram, April 2020.
