Functional Kannada Certificate Course

The Department of Kannada has been successfully conducting the Functional Kannada Certificate Course since 2019. This initiative was introduced with the objective of equipping non-Kannada speaking students, staff, and faculty members with basic proficiency in the Kannada language for effective communication in academic and daily life contexts.
The course emphasizes practical usage of the language, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. It includes classroom sessions, interactive activities, cultural integration exercises, and regular assessments to ensure learning outcomes.
Under the guidance and coordination of Dr. Syed Muen, the course has witnessed active participation and consistent positive feedback from learners. The Department has organized multiple batches every academic year, and successful candidates are awarded a Certificate of Completion during a formal Valedictory Programme.
