Date: 21 August 2025
The Department of Social Work, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be) University, organized an Alumni Interaction Series on “Australian Migration Process” on 21st August 2025 at the Admin Block, B 404. The session was led by Mr. Jomet Mani, Director of YESTE Migration Consulting, Australia, and a proud alumnus of the department.
The session aimed to create awareness among final year MSW students regarding career prospects in Australia and the necessary steps involved in the migration journey. Mr. Jomet Mani elaborated on the visa application process, grade points required, and eligibility criteria for professionals seeking opportunities abroad. He also highlighted the avenues available for social work graduates to build meaningful careers in Australia, while sharing insights from his own professional experience.
The interaction provided students with practical clarity on how to prepare for migration, the documentation required, and the importance of skill enhancement in the global context. The session proved to be highly beneficial as students gained not only technical knowledge of the migration process but also inspiration from the journey of an alumnus who successfully transitioned to an international career.
