The Master of Social Work (MSW) is offered as a two-year full-time (four semesters) programme that is aimed at creating excellent Social Work professionals with competency in a multi-disciplinary approach and ready for employment at national and international levels. The curriculum consists of theoretical inputs, observation visits, concurrent field work placements, a minor project and block placement. In addition to the above, special emphasis is given to experiential learning. The department, over the years, has earned a reputation for its MSW programme under Bangalore University. The university ranks and the gold medals received by the students substantiate this. At present, the programme is offered with three specialisations, namely.

Eligibility
Candidates with any Bachelor’s degree and with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST candidates) from a recognised University are eligible.
