MSc Physics

The Master of Science (M.Sc) in Physics programme is a two-year full-time postgraduate programme designed to provide advanced theoretical and experimental knowledge in Physics. The programme aims to develop competent professionals and researchers who can contribute to scientific innovation and technological advancement. Through a blend of theoretical courses, laboratory experiments, seminars, and a research project, students gain in-depth understanding of concepts ranging from quantum mechanics and condensed matter physics to electronics and materials science. The curriculum is customized to foster scientific inquiry and innovation. The programme aims to nurture physicists capable of contributing to academia, industry, and research.

Eligibility
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST candidates) from a recognized University are eligible to apply.

A candidate who has studied Physics as a minor / ancillary / subsidiary (for atleast 4 semesters) is also eligible to apply.
