LLM IP and Technology Law

The intersection of innovation, technology and law is the area for which the LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology Law has been designed. The programme includes a comprehensive study into patents, copyrights, trademarks and design rights, trade secrets, geographical indications and additional new areas emerging today such as digital rights protection, data privacy issues or regulations governing artificial intelligence, even the laws dealing with cybercrimes. It encourages a well-balanced understanding of rights, innovation and public interest in the digital era whilst gradually inculcating ethical values too. Students become adept in International IP laws, systems for enforcement of IP rights and policy matters necessary for global legal practice. The programme prepares graduates for global careers as IP attorneys, legal consultants, corporate counsels, policy advisors, as well academicians.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess an Undergraduate degree LL.B. (5 or 3 year programme) from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, are eligible.

Candidates appearing in their final year of LL.B. are also eligible to apply provisionally, provided they should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations thus far.
