Expert Talk on Cloud Connect: Exploring the Future

The Department of Computational Studies, School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), in association with the Cloud Innovators Society, organized an Expert Talk titled "Cloud Connect: Exploring the Future" on 31st July 2026 at the M3 Auditorium, Science Block, for the students of I Year BCA Cloud Computing (Sections A, B, and C). The session was delivered by Mr. Stephen Raj, Manager – Software Development Team, IQVIA, and Alumni (Batch of 2016). He introduced students to the fundamentals of cloud computing, explaining cloud services, virtualization, data centers, service models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), deployment models, cloud security, and Amazon EC2 with practical examples. The speaker also highlighted real-world applications of cloud computing, career opportunities in the cloud domain, and the importance of developing industry-relevant technical skills. The interactive session encouraged students to explore emerging cloud technologies and understand their role in digital transformation. The programme concluded successfully with active student participation and positive feedback, contributing to their technical knowledge and career preparedness while supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Workshop on Career Excellence and Personal Wellness

The Department of Computational Studies, School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), successfully organized the workshop "Career Excellence and Personal Wellness – Redefining Success Before Chasing" on 17th July 2026 at the M2 Auditorium, Main Block for final-year students of BCA Cloud Computing, BCA Cyber Security, B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and B.Sc. Data Science. The session was conducted by Ms. Marohina V., Certified Life Coach, who emphasized the importance of balancing career aspirations with personal well-being, self-awareness, emotional resilience, and purpose-driven career planning. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, the workshop encouraged students to develop a positive mindset, manage stress effectively, and make informed career decisions. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and concluded successfully with positive feedback, contributing to their overall professional readiness and holistic development while supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
E-Awareness on Digital Life-Saving Tools (Community Outreach Programme)

On March 24, 2026, First-Year BCA ‘A’ students from the Department of Computer Science, Kristu Jayanti University conducted an "E-Awareness on Digital Life-Saving Tools" outreach in K. Narayanapura. The initiative aimed to educate the public on mobile apps for emergency response and personal safety. Students demonstrated tools like 112 India, eSanjeevani, Life360, and the Karnataka State Police App, assisting residents with installation and navigation. The program also covered cyber safety and personal data protection. This successful community engagement empowered citizens with practical digital resources while fostering social responsibility in the students.
Bridging Generations - Session on Digital Lifeline (Community Visit)

The outreach programme “Bridging Generations – Session on Digital Lifeline” was conducted on 17 March 2026 by First Year BCA ‘A’ students of the Department of Computer Science, Kristu Jayanti University, at Guanella Preethi Nivas Trust as part of a community engagement initiative. The programme aimed to promote meaningful interaction between students and the elderly, focusing on emotional well-being and mutual learning. Students conducted awareness sessions on scams and the pros and cons of technology, along with organizing fun activities like musical chairs, passing the ball, singing, and dancing, which encouraged enthusiastic participation from the residents. They also spent time engaging in conversations, fostering warmth and companionship. Food was distributed to all residents, enhancing the spirit of care and sharing. The event created a joyful atmosphere and had a positive impact on both students and residents, concluding with valuable lessons in empathy, social responsibility, and the importance of bridging the generational gap.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - Cleanliness Drive

The cleanliness drive “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” was conducted on 12 March 2026 by First Year BCA ‘A’ students of the Department of Computer Science, Kristu Jayanti University, near the KJU Sports Arena to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility. The initiative aimed to create awareness about maintaining a hygienic environment, with students actively participating in activities such as waste collection, sweeping, and proper disposal of garbage while emphasizing waste segregation. Through teamwork and active involvement, the drive improved the cleanliness of the area and reinforced civic sense and the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining public spaces. The programme concluded successfully, instilling discipline, environmental awareness, and a sense of pride among the participants.
