Expert Talk on “Generative AI & AI Agents: The Future of Learning and Careers”

The Department of Computer Applications, School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), organized an Expert Talk titled “Generative AI & AI Agents: The Future of Learning and Careers” on 06 August 2026. The session aimed to introduce students to the concepts of Generative Artificial Intelligence and AI Agents and to create awareness about their growing significance in education, industries, and professional environments.

The session featured Ms. Kavitha Suresh Kumar, Principal Software Architect, Kyndryl, India, who shared valuable industry insights into the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence. She highlighted the applications of Generative AI and AI Agents in learning, problem-solving, automation, and career development. She also emphasized the importance of developing relevant AI skills and competencies to adapt to emerging technological trends and future career opportunities.

Through practical examples and real-world applications, students gained a deeper understanding of emerging AI technologies and their relevance to current industry practices. The interactive session encouraged students to actively participate in discussions and raise questions related to Generative AI, AI Agents, skill development, career opportunities, and industry trends.

The session was attended by 239 students from First Year BCA Sections A, B, and C, who found the interaction highly informative and insightful. The programme concluded with an engaging Question-and-Answer session, providing students with an opportunity to clarify their technical and career-related queries. The session motivated students to explore the potential of Generative AI and AI Agents and encouraged them to develop the skills required to navigate the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence.
