Alumni Batch Gathering – BCA 2007 & 2014

The Department of Computer Science, School of Computational and Physical Sciences at Kristu Jayanti University organized an Alumni Batch Gathering for the BCA 2007 and 2014 batches on 28th February 2026 at M2 Auditorium, Main Block. Alumni Lecture Series - Expert Talk on Accounts Payable using Oracle JD Edwards (JDE)

The Department of Computer Science, School of Computational and Physical Sciences at Kristu Jayanti University organized an Alumni Lecture Series session titled “Accounts Payable using Oracle JD Edwards (JDE)” on 7th February 2026. The resource person for the session was Mr. Sampath Kumar S, an alumnus of the 2016 BCA batch and a professional from Accenture, Bengaluru. The session was conducted for II Year BCA students (Sections A, B, and C) to provide industry-oriented exposure to enterprise financial systems and business processes.
Mr. Sampath Kumar S explained the fundamentals of Accounts Payable processes and demonstrated how Oracle JD Edwards supports financial operations in large organizations. He shared practical insights from his professional experience, highlighting real-world workflows, automation, and the importance of accuracy in financial management systems. The interactive session helped students understand how theoretical concepts are applied in corporate environments and encouraged them to develop skills relevant to enterprise software and professional practices.

The Department of Computer Science, under the School of Computational and Physical Sciences, organized an Alumni Batch Gathering for the batches 2007–2012, 2017, and 2020 on 15 November 2025 at the M2 Auditorium, Kristu Jayanti University. The event created a warm and nostalgic atmosphere where former students reconnected with peers and faculty, shared their career experiences, and reflected on their journey since graduation.
The gathering featured interactive conversations, fun games, and enthusiastic alumni participation, making the event vibrant and memorable. The activities encouraged networking, storytelling, and joyful engagement, strengthening the bond between the department and its alumni community. The program concluded on a positive note, celebrating the continued association and achievements of the alumni.

Alumni Lecture Series - Expert Talk on Professional Ethics and Work Experience Insights

The Department of Computer Science at Kristu Jayanti University organized an Alumni Expert Series session titled “Expert Talk on Professional Ethics and Work Experience Insights” on 27th September 2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Ahmed Shariff, Senior Operations Analyst at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Bangalore, and an alumnus of the BCA 2015–18 batch. The session was conducted exclusively for the II Year BCA General and IoT students to provide them with valuable insights into professional conduct and workplace experiences.
Mr. Shariff highlighted the importance of professional ethics in building a successful career and shared practical knowledge from his own journey in the IT industry. The interactive session encouraged student participation, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, and inspired students to uphold ethical values while preparing for future professional challenges.

Alumni Lecture Series – Hands on training on Power BI

The Department of Computer Science at Kristu Jayanti University organized an Alumni Expert Series session titled “Hands-on Training on Power BI” on 30th August 2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Faridh Nowfal, a consultant at Dev3tech, Bangalore and an alumnus of the BCA 2015–18 batch. The session was conducted exclusively for the final-year BCA Analytics and B.Sc. Data Science students to provide them with practical exposure to Power BI, one of the most in-demand business intelligence tools in the industry today.
During the session, Mr. Nowfal shared real-time demonstrations on how to use Power BI for data visualization and reporting. He also highlighted its role in decision-making processes within organizations. Drawing from his own professional journey, he guided students on how to build industry-relevant skills and apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-world data problems. The interactive session encouraged student participation and proved to be a valuable learning experience, equipping them with key insights into the world of data analytics and business intelligence..

Alumni Lecture Series – “From Classrooms to Conference Rooms: My Journey into the Professional World – What Helped Me Thrive at Work”

The Department of Computer Science, under the School of Computational and Physical Sciences, organized an Alumni Expert Series on the topic “From Classrooms to Conference Rooms: My Journey into the Professional World – What Helped Me Thrive at Work” in August 2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Revanth R, an alumnus of Kristu Jayanti University and currently working as a Senior Analyst – Business and Workforce Management at Sagility.
The session aimed to inspire students by bridging the gap between academic learning and professional life. Mr. Revanth shared his personal journey of growth, highlighting the skills, values, and workplace practices that enabled him to succeed in the corporate environment. He emphasized the importance of adaptability, communication, teamwork, and continuous learning as key factors in professional success. The interactive nature of the session encouraged student participation, allowing them to clarify their doubts and gain practical guidance for shaping their future careers.
