E-Awareness on Digital Life-Saving Tools (Community Outreach Programme)

On March 24, 2026, First-Year BCA ‘A’ students from the Department of Computer Science, Kristu Jayanti University conducted an "E-Awareness on Digital Life-Saving Tools" outreach in K. Narayanapura. The initiative aimed to educate the public on mobile apps for emergency response and personal safety. Students demonstrated tools like 112 India, eSanjeevani, Life360, and the Karnataka State Police App, assisting residents with installation and navigation. The program also covered cyber safety and personal data protection. This successful community engagement empowered citizens with practical digital resources while fostering social responsibility in the students.

Bridging Generations - Session on Digital Lifeline (Community Visit)

The outreach programme “Bridging Generations – Session on Digital Lifeline” was conducted on 17 March 2026 by First Year BCA ‘A’ students of the Department of Computer Science, Kristu Jayanti University, at Guanella Preethi Nivas Trust as part of a community engagement initiative. The programme aimed to promote meaningful interaction between students and the elderly, focusing on emotional well-being and mutual learning. Students conducted awareness sessions on scams and the pros and cons of technology, along with organizing fun activities like musical chairs, passing the ball, singing, and dancing, which encouraged enthusiastic participation from the residents. They also spent time engaging in conversations, fostering warmth and companionship. Food was distributed to all residents, enhancing the spirit of care and sharing. The event created a joyful atmosphere and had a positive impact on both students and residents, concluding with valuable lessons in empathy, social responsibility, and the importance of bridging the generational gap.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - Cleanliness Drive

The cleanliness drive “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” was conducted on 12 March 2026 by First Year BCA ‘A’ students of the Department of Computer Science, Kristu Jayanti University, near the KJU Sports Arena to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility. The initiative aimed to create awareness about maintaining a hygienic environment, with students actively participating in activities such as waste collection, sweeping, and proper disposal of garbage while emphasizing waste segregation. Through teamwork and active involvement, the drive improved the cleanliness of the area and reinforced civic sense and the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining public spaces. The programme concluded successfully, instilling discipline, environmental awareness, and a sense of pride among the participants.
