Student Journeys (Real Voices, Real Experiences)

Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) has been an incredibly enriching and memorable part of my journey. I am Ananya Santhosh from the 2023–2025 batch of MSc Counselling Psychology, and my time here has truly been transformative. The course gave me strong practical exposure, supported by high-quality resources and well-equipped labs that made learning exciting and hands-on. The professors were not only knowledgeable but also empathetic, approachable, and genuinely cool, always motivating me to grow in every way possible. With regular conferences, workshops, seminars, and competitions, the university constantly encouraged me to explore, improve, and develop a holistic character. The diverse and lively campus helped me form meaningful connections and friendships. Kristu Jayanti became a home away from home, a place where I studied, shared meals, choreographed dances for fests, made bonds, organized events, had endless fun, and created memories I will always cherish.

MSc Counseling Psychology (2023-2025)

I completed my undergraduate studies at Kristu Jayanti and returning to pursue my Master’s here felt like a natural choice. What makes this institution truly stand out is not only its continuously updated and customized syllabus but also its well-equipped psychology laboratories that provide students with the necessary resources to understand concepts deeply and apply them practically. More than the infrastructure, it is the faculty members who make the experience exceptional. Their constant support, guidance and encouragement create a learning environment where every student is empowered to develop their skills and grow both academically and personally. The tremendous opportunities, exposure and structured support systems here motivate students to step out of their comfort zones and better understand themselves while striving for excellence. I am sincerely grateful to the faculty, the Department and the institution for continuously fostering innovation, inclusivity and safe spaces for students — all with one goal: Excellence

The university has shaped me not just academically but personally as well. I entered this college expecting to simply graduate as a counselling psychologist but the experience transformed me as an individual. The Department of Psychology has given me more than what I could have expected. From getting to represent my class, to volunteering and helping in the organization of departmental fests, each role has increased my confidence, communication skills, and sense of responsibility. The college and the department has not just given me a degree but also helped me in my personal growth, teaching me the ethics and principles that I should follow as a professional.
