Faculty Development Program on Advancing Psychometric and Diagnostic Skills in Psychology
The Department of Psychology conducted an in-house Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Advancing Psychometric and Diagnostic Skills in Psychology” from 28 June 2025 to 13 March 2026 on selected days to enhance faculty competencies in administering, interpreting, and applying psychometric tools in teaching and research. The programme included sessions on key assessment techniques such as the Rorschach Inkblot Test by Ms. Soumya Simon (28 June 2025), Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test by Mr. Vigraant Babu K G (30 June and 1 July 2025), Binet–Kamat Test of Intelligence by Dr. Lokesh L (7 March 2026), and Biofeedback by Ms. Soumya Simon (13 March 2026), all conducted by faculty members of the Department of Psychology, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. The FDP focused on building practical skills in personality assessment, intelligence testing, and clinical diagnostics, enabling faculty to improve teaching effectiveness, strengthen curriculum design, support student supervision, and promote evidence-based practices. Overall, the programme contributed to enhancing academic quality, fostering research innovation, and aligning psychology education with best practices in Indian higher education.

Faculty Development Program on Mastering Advanced Statistical Tools: Elevating Research Excellence
The Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Mastering Advanced Statistical Tools: Elevating Research Excellence," held from June 3 to June 15, 2024, which benefited 28 participants through six detailed sessions. Mr. Vigraanth Bapu introduced the basics of Jamovi, emphasizing data manipulation and statistical analysis. Dr. Vijayalaya Srinivas covered mediation and moderation analysis using Jamovi, providing insights into complex variable interactions. Dr. L Santhosh Kumar focused on narrative analysis, emphasizing the importance of context and cultural perspectives. Dr. Lokesh L's session on statistical analysis using Excel highlighted regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and data visualization. Dr. Santhosh Kareepadath Rajan explained path analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM), focusing on understanding complex relationships and handling latent variables. Lastly, Ms. Anitha Mary Mathew explored AI tools for academic research, demonstrating their practical applications and discussing ethical considerations. Overall, the FDP equipped the participants with practical skills and advanced knowledge to enhance their research capabilities.
