Divyangjan Students Privileges
Special Privileges for Divyangjan Candidates
Students with temporary or permanent physical disabilities (e.g., fractures, neurological conditions, visual impairments) may be allowed a scribe upon submitting valid proof.
A medical certificate from a government hospital or registered medical practitioner must be submitted to the Controller of Examinations (CoE) well in advance for approval.
The request must be made in writing to the CoE/Deputy.CoE with supporting documents at least 7 days before the examination.
The request must clearly state the nature of the disability and the need for a scribe.
The scribe will be approved by the Examination Regulatory Council.
Scribe should be one academic grade below the candidate and not related or in the same discipline.
To avoid an unfair advantage, the scribe's qualification may be limited to a specific grade threshold, such as not more than 55% marks, or not more than one grade level higher for visually impaired candidates.
Students shall not be allowed to bring their own scribes without prior approval
Both the student and the scribe must sign a declaration form (Available in the Examination Office) stating that:
- The scribe meets the eligibility criteria.
- The student is availing of scribe assistance voluntarily and will abide by the rules.
The student and scribe will be seated in a separate room under the supervision of an invigilator.
Students availing of a scribe may be given 10 minutes of additional time per hour, depending on institutional policy.
The scribe is expected to maintain confidentiality and not assist the candidate in any unfair manner.
Scribe shall strictly write as narrated by the student and must not interpret or alter exam content.
Any misconduct or breach of confidentiality may result in disciplinary action, including cancellation of the exam script.
A copy of the medical certificate, scribe details, approval letter, and declaration form will be retained by the Examination Regulatory Council.
Special Privileges for sick Candidates
Students who are sick(non contagious disease) are permitted to take the examination in a isolated exam hall for special attention.
Students suffering from contagious diseases such as chickenpox, mumps, or conjunctivitis (Madras eye) are discouraged from taking up the examination.
