Placement Orientation and Training program

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance in association with the Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR), Kristu Jayanti College conducted a Placement Orientation Training program for the II Year Bcom Professional students. The resource person was Mr. Bijin Philip, Ass. Prof. and Co-ordinator for CECR.

Keeping the dreams and aspirations of students in mind, and n bridging the gap between the campus to the corporate, the placement training enables the students to prepare and plan well in advance whether to choose between higher studies or take up jobs. It is imperative that students are well acquainted with the job interview process and are equipped to face the interviewers being well-informed and well-prepared.

Therefore a session was conducted for the students to give them a clear understanding of what lies ahead. The speaker encouraged the students to have a clear idea about the future,i.e, either to continue with higher studies or to sit for placements. The speaker threw ideas on the placement process. He shared multiple examples and incidents the students faced during the placement procedure. He stressed the significance of how to prepare well for the placements and the eminence of building a powerful resume. The importance of various skills to be acquired was also discussed.
