CMA Master Class Session-Preparation for CMA Exam

Certified Management Accountants are the experts who explain the reason behind the figures in the financial statements. A CMA certification helps the accounting and finance professional to scale higher in the corporate sector. Such certification requires intensive and systematic preparation by the trainees. To make the students aware about the importance of systematic preparation the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized a master Class session for 2nd year CMA students on 8th November 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Room No.A409. Mr.Uttam Pai U, CMA and CPA, AVP, Academics, Miles Education Bengaluru addresses the students. The speaker provided an overview of Part 1 of CMA exam with more focus on topics like budgeting, internal controls, importance of technology in an organization, costing and financial Statements. The important topics from the point of view of examination were discussed in a nutshell. Mr.Uttam also discussed on Part 2 of CMA exam with more emphasis on investment decisions and corporate governance. It was an interactive session wherein the students were given an opportunity to clarify their queries regarding exam preparation and important topics. The session helped the students to have a clarity regarding CMA exams.


ACCA Training Report on Strategic Business Reporting
The ACCA training program is a cornerstone for professional growth within the realms of accounting and finance. Specifically, the Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) subject plays a pivotal role, imparting advanced reporting and analytical skills to learners. As part of this endeavor, the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized ACCA training classes on SBR for V-B.Com P5 and P6, conducted from 16/08/2023 to 09/09/2023. Mr. Jayesh Jhadav, a seasoned professional in finance and a Trainer at ISDC, Bangalore, spearheaded these training sessions. Mr. Jayesh Jhadav, Trainer, ISDC, Bangalore. The training methodology employed a blend of case studies and real-world business scenarios. allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

Mr. Jayesh delved into discussions on the following topics conceptual framework, Lease, Non-current Assets for resale, Group Accounting, and Share-based payment. Concurrently, the training aimed to enhance student’s ability to interpret and communicate financial information accurately and ethically.

Students were able to comprehend the IFRS standards with regard to preparation of various reports and analysis of case studies.


ACCA Training Report on Strategic Business Leader
The Strategic Business Leader (SBL) paper is a pivotal segment of the ACCA, designed to equip aspiring professionals with the skills necessary to lead in complex business environments. The training aimed to provide comprehensive knowledge in areas such as stakeholder management, governance, risk, and strategic leadership.

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized ACCA training classes on Strategic Business Leader for V-B.Com P5 and P6 from 20/09/2023 to 09/11/2023. Ms. Bhoomika, Trainer, ISDC, Bangalore conducted the training classes. The training methodology employed a blend of case studies and real-world business scenarios. allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

The training was encompassed on developing leadership skills, corporate governance, Risk Management, Audit Assurance, Talent Management and professional skills, and enhancing decision-making abilities in multifaceted business scenarios.

Students attained proficiency in formulating strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives. Through case studies and simulations, they demonstrated adeptness in analyzing complex business situations, identifying risks, and proposing viable solutions.


ACCA Training Report- Financial Reporting
The Financial Reporting (FR) paper within the ACCA curriculum aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and their application in preparing and analyzing financial statements. This report summarizes the ACCA training classes organized by the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance for III-B.Com P5 and P6 students, conducted from 20/09/2023 to 09/11/2023. The classes were led by Mr. Jayesh Jhadav, an expert in the subject and a Trainer at ISDC, Bangalore. The training methodology employed a blend of case studies and real-world business scenarios. allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

Mr. Jayesh delved into discussions on the following topics Lease for Assets, conceptual framework, Integrated Reporting, Group Accounting, and Intangible Assets. Concurrently, the training aimed to enhance student’s ability to interpret and communicate financial information accurately and ethically. The training sessions resulted in enhanced proficiency among participants in understanding and applying financial reporting standards. They demonstrated improved capabilities in analyzing financial statements, interpreting complex accounting principles, and addressing practical challenges encountered in the field.
