The Department of Professional Management Studies organized "Anubhav the Entrepreneurial Talk Series", where alumni of the college give their expert insights on entrepreneurship to the current students. The event was held on 20th September 2024, in the Conference Hall, of the Administration Block. The speaker for this session was Ms. Stuti Sharma, an alumnus of the college from the 2020-2023 batch and is the Co-founder at ithink Digital.

Ms. Stuti Sharma shared her perception on the importance of the discipline students receive at Kristu Jayanti College. She emphasized how it would help during the entrepreneurship journey. She spoke about the benefits of networking and how students should start networking in college. Additionally, she stressed the need for LinkedIn accounts and the need for students to start marketing themselves on LinkedIn while also networking. Ms. Stuti took a few minutes to encourage future entrepreneurs in the audience and to answer questions.

The session concluded with a resounding message on the significance of leveraging discipline, networking, and self-marketing as fundamental skills for entrepreneurship. The students left with actionable insights on how to build their professional presence on LinkedIn and start networking early. The event successfully inspired budding entrepreneurs, encouraging them to take proactive steps toward their career aspirations. Feedback from the students highlighted how Ms. Stuti Sharma's journey resonated with them, offering a relatable and practical outlook on entrepreneurship, especially for those pursuing it immediately after graduation.

Alumnus Entrepreneur Expert Talk

The Department of Professional Management Studies proudly hosted "ANUBHAV,” an alumni entrepreneurial expert talk on August 23, 2024, aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world entrepreneurial experiences. This session featured distinguished alumni Mr. Mohammed Maaz Khan who have successfully ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, offering a wealth of insights into the challenges and triumphs of starting and scaling a business. The speakers shared their personal journeys, discussed key strategies, and provided actionable advice on navigating the complexities of the entrepreneurial landscape. The interactive Q & A session allowed students to engage directly with the speakers, gaining practical knowledge and inspiration to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. ANUBHAV stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among its students, preparing them to excel in a competitive global marketplace.

Connect & Catalyze Alumni Talk Series

Department of Professional Management organised First Edition of Connect and Catalyse, alumni talk series on 26 August 2023, Saturday for the students of first and third year aviation management and second year tourism and hospitality management. Ms. Rasheeda (Alumni Batch 2013-2016) Lead Cabin Attendant Interglobe Aviation Limited (Indigo Airlines) was invited as the resource person for the alumni talk series. Ms. Rasheeda shared her testimony on the role of a lead cabin attendant in shaping her career and personality. And she spoke about what are the strengths and weakness of being an attendant in the airlines. Ms. Rasheeda also spoke about pros and cons of the aviation industry clarified few doubts asked by the students. She motivated the students to participate in all possible activities related to the aviation industry. She also spoke about the importance of grooming in the aviation industry. The session was interesting and well received by the students the students were happy and positive on the impact of the interaction.

Connect & Catalyze: Alumni Talk Series

Department of Professional Management organized the First Edition of “Connect and Catalyze”, an alumni talk series online on 19th September 2023, Tuesday for the first year Aviation Management students and Tourism & Hospitality management. Mr. Akhil Thomas (Alumni Batch 2013-2016) Banquet Chef B Hospitality Kitchener Ontario, Canada was invited as the resource person for the alumni talk series. Mr. Akhil Thomas shared his experiences on the role of being a banquet chef in shaping his career and personality. He spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of being a banquet chef. Mr. Akhil shared the procedures for entering the hotel industry and spoke about the pros and cons of the hotel industry, clarifying a few doubts asked by the students. He also motivated the students to participate in all possible activities related to the hotel industry. He also spoke about the key areas in the hotel industry and how marketing and human resources play a role in growing in the market. Mr. Akhil motivated students to do specific certification courses if they were planning to enter this industry. The session was interesting and well-acknowledged by the students. The students were happy and progressive on the impact of the interaction.
