Date: 20 August, 2026
The Department of Professional Management Studies, School of Business and Management, inaugurated IDEON, its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club, on 20 August 2026 at the A1 Auditorium, Airport Road Campus Kristu Jayanti University. The programme, held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM during Academic Year 2026–2027, brought together registered students from the first, second, and third years of Professional Management Studies. IDEON was launched with clear objectives: to cultivate an active culture of entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation among management students, and to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical execution through mentorship, ideation sprints, and direct industry engagement.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome by Ms. Sneha Sunny, EIC Secretary, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. Faculty Coordinator Dr. Sivaprasad V. introduced the club’s vision, underscoring that entrepreneurship begins with a problem-solving mindset and outlining the support mechanisms planned for student ventures. Dr. C. Surendranath Reddy, Dean delivered the presidential address. He urged second-year students to shift from job-seeking to job-creating mindsets, highlighted the remarkable growth of India’s startup ecosystem over the past two decades, and set an institutional target of seeding at least two campus-backed startups by 2027.

The chief guest, Mr. Srinivas Rao Kumba, Co-Founder and CEO of Siplon Technologies, was introduced by student coordinator Mr. Aldren Davis Babu. Drawing on two decades of experience in technology and business leadership, Mr. Kumba emphasised the importance of rigorously validating business ideas before scaling them. An interactive panel discussion conducted with partnering with, Siplon Technologies: Mr. Srinivas Rao Kumba, Mr. Shrikar Deva Botla (Senior Director, Back-End Implementation), Mr. Venkat Krishna Rao (Chief Technology Officer), and Mr. Shiva Prasad Rao (Sales Director). The panellists addressed practical themes including building authentic professional networks, leveraging artificial intelligence for research and documentation while preserving analytical skills, and prioritising solid prototypes and disciplined execution over early-stage funding. A lively Q&A session allowed students to raise real-world doubts about early-stage entrepreneurship.
