His words instantly captured the attention of the audience, as he explained that preparing for CAT is not just about passing an examination - it is about building life skills that will help them succeed in multiple aspects of their future careers.

Mr. Kishore Kumar systematically introduced the students to the exam structure, sections, and evaluation process. He broke down the three major areas of CAT: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. For each section, he explained the types of questions typically asked, the level of difficulty, and the common challenges students face. He stressed that success in CAT does not come from last-minute preparation, but from consistent practice, a disciplined routine, and strategic planning. To make this more relatable, he shared examples of candidates who had started their preparation early and were able to secure admission into leading business schools through systematic efforts.

What made the session particularly engaging was the resource person’s interactive and student-friendly approach. Instead of presenting CAT as an intimidating hurdle, he broke down the preparation journey into simple, achievable milestones. Throughout the session, Mr. Kishore Kumar drew upon his own experiences and shared success stories of aspirants who had faced difficulties yet managed to excel through perseverance and determination. These stories resonated with students, giving them a sense of encouragement and a belief that with focus and effort, they too could achieve similar success. For many of them, it was the first step towards developing a structured approach to CAT preparation.

Another highlight of the session was the way in which branding and goal-setting were subtly integrated into the discussion. Mr. Kishore Kumar explained that just as companies work on creating a strong brand identity, students too must learn to present themselves with clarity, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Preparing for CAT, he noted, helps students not only sharpen their intellectual skills but also develop qualities such as perseverance, resilience, and self-discipline—traits that define strong leaders and professionals.

By the end of the programme, students expressed that they had not only gained a clear understanding of the mechanics of CAT but also developed a new sense of motivation and direction.
