B.Com Strategic Finance (CMA)

Programme Overview

The B.Com Strategic Finance programme offers students an outstanding opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree in Commerce while simultaneously preparing for the prestigious Certified Management Accountant (CMA, US) qualification awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), USA.

This meticulously curated curriculum integrates the CMA syllabus into the undergraduate commerce framework across four semesters, enabling learners to earn both a full-fledged undergraduate degree and globally recognised professional credentials through a single, cohesive programme.

The B.Com is a three year degree programme. However, as per the provisions of the new National Education Policy (NEP 2020), a student may continue into the fourth year and earn a B.Com Honours degree.

The CMA certification comprises two major parts:
Part 1: Financial Planning, Performance and Analytics
Part 2: Strategic Financial Management

The CMA course content is aligned with the B.Com. curriculum as follows:

CMA Part 1
Structured into three courses delivered across the first three semesters:
Financial Planning and Performance
Financial Analytics and Control
Financial Reporting

CMA Part 2
Organised into two courses offered in the fourth semester:
Financial Decision Making
Corporate Finance

This integrated model ensures that students develop strong analytical, financial, and managerial competencies, preparing them for global career opportunities in finance and strategic management.
