Profession Interface Forum

PROFESSIONAL INTERFACE FORUM (PIF) - is an exclusive platform for B.Com Professional course students pursuing their degree with professional courses like CA/CS, CMA, and ACCA. It is a remarkable club that mentors students to become "Industry ready" scholars. The club offers a unique learning system with a seamless progression curve, integrating extra mural activities to develop students into full-stack professionals.

The club's activities are a perfect blend of fun, academics, and personal growth. Led by faculty members with entrepreneurial expertise, it provides a memorable experience for young minds. This program is highly recommended for those aiming to excel in professional careers related to banking, insurance, finance, or software domains.

The Professional Interface Forum, comprising club members, meets weekly to enhance their skill sets and engage with like-minded individuals. They discuss important aspects of professional studies, share updates from professional bodies' websites, arrange guest lectures, facilitate peer-to-peer learning sessions, and provide exam preparation tips. The club also conducts inspirational sessions to boost learners' confidence and equip them with a deep understanding of the business world.

Auditopia, an Inter-Departmental event

The Department successfully organized Auditopia, an inter-departmental event held from 27th to 29th October 2025. A total of 15 teams actively participated, showcasing their analytical and auditing skills. The event was judged by C A Shyam Prabhad, and CA Alfred Avinash.


Bootcamp – A Skill Development Activity

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, Kristu Jayanti University, organized a Bootcamp – A Skill Development Activity on 25 October 2025 under the aegis of the Festing Club. The session, facilitated by Ms. N. V. Chanasvi, Audit Associate at KPMG, Bengaluru, focused on enhancing students’ professional etiquette, communication, and networking skills. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, the bootcamp empowered the participants with confidence, teamwork, and practical insights for external academic and corporate engagements.

Expert Talk in observance of National Girl Child Day
Date: 23 January 2026
The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized an Expert Talk in observance of National Girl Child Day on 23 January 2026, with active participation from 300 second-year students, led by Dr. Vibhuti Patel, Former Professor, TISS and SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai.

The session emphasized the role of education, economic participation, and policy support in empowering girls, highlighting the link between gender equality and sustainable development in the Indian context.


Vigilance Awareness Week

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week observed from October 27th to November 2nd, 2025, the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organised an Integrity Pledge taking ceremony for the First Year B. Com ACCA (A Section) students. 66 students took the Integrity Pledge on October 31st, 2025, reaffirming their commitment to uphold honesty, transparency, and ethical values in all their personal and professional endeavours.

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, under the School of Commerce, Accounting and Finance, organized an Expert Talk on “Breaking the Approval Trap: Redefining Success Beyond Peer Validation” on 17th October 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM via Zoom, marking World Mental Health Awareness Month 2025. Ms. Pritha Saha Dutta, Founder of the Indian Mental Health Summit, Change Catalyst, and Amor Vitae Foundation, Mumbai, addressed the second-year B. Com PAF students, emphasizing the impact of peer pressure and the need to build self-worth beyond external approval. The session inspired students to value self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and authentic success, offering meaningful insights into mental well-being.

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized an expert talk on “Breaking the Silence: A Step Toward Life” on 10th September 2025, led by Dr. Deepthi Vijayan, Department of Psychology. The session stressed the seriousness of suicide, highlighting the importance of open conversations, empathy, and active listening.

Students gained insights into recognizing warning signs and supporting individuals in distress, fostering compassion and proactive involvement in suicide prevention.

Anti Ragging-2025

The School of Commerce, Accounting and Finance, Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be) University, observed Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August 2025. As part of the initiative to promote a safe and respectful campus environment, the department organized a short documentary screening for II and III year B.Com PAF students and a poster-making competition for the 1st year B.Com PAF students. The week-long observance aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and to reinforce the message of unity, empathy, and mutual respect among students.


Uday Bharat 2025

Aimed at igniting patriotic spirit and fostering unity, responsibility, and a shared vision for national progress among youth, Uday Bharat 2025 — an intra-department event organised by the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance under the theme “Viksit Bharat @ 2047 – New India, Empowered India” on 13/08/2025. Events featured vibrant activities such as street plays, group dances, patriotic songs, declamations, photography, reel-making, and poster design, all creatively interpreting India’s empowered future; graced by Chief Guest Lt. Col. Divakara Naidu S.K., Karamveer Chakra awardee and founder of Karma Bhumi Foundation, the event successfully celebrated Independence Day by instilling deep national pride and concluded with prize distribution, leaving students inspired to transform their patriotic fervour into meaningful contributions towards national development.

Empower Your Body

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized a session titled “Empower Your Body” as part of the Wellness Week, for the first-year students. The session was led by Dr.Aakash Kumar, Assistant Professor, who shared his expertise on yoga and holistic well-being. Dr. Aakash Kumar demonstrated various asanas and explained the physical and mental benefits derived from the same.


Learn to Earn: Rural Women Edition – Financial Literacy Programme

The session was led by Ms. Navshree Verma, Founder of Navnutri Care, Mumbai. Value Added Course

C2C - Campus to Corporate
Date: 19 to 24 July 2025
The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance conducted a Value Added Programme titled "C2C – Campus to Corporate" for final-year B.Com students from 19 to 24 July 2025.

The programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by equipping students with essential job-ready skills. Sessions covered CV and résumé building, aptitude test preparation, group discussions, interview techniques, and corporate etiquette.

Through interactive workshops and mock sessions, students gained practical exposure to workplace scenarios. A final assessment evaluated their learning, and participants received certificates upon successful completion.

The programme served as a vital step in preparing students for a smooth and confident transition into the corporate world.


Value Added Course Corporate Efficiency’-Essential Skills for Corporate Triumph

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized a Value Added Course (VAC) for II B.Com PAF students titled “Corporate Efficiency – Essential Skills for Corporate Triumph”, as part of the academic enrichment initiatives for the year 2025–2026. The primary objective of the course was to enhance students' understanding of core corporate competencies, with a special focus on professionalism and career readiness. Designed with practical relevance in mind, the course aimed to equip students with essential tools to succeed and lead in a competitive and ever-evolving business environment.

The sessions were conducted from 08th July 2025 to 12th July 2025. The curriculum covered a wide range of topics critical to corporate success, including:Basics of MS Excel,Presentation Skills,Workplace Civility, Professional Effectiveness. To assess the learning outcomes, VAC examination was conducted on 12th July 2025 via the Kristu Jayanti College Exam LMS portal. All the students successfully completed the examination.

The Centre for Life Skills Education (CLSE) of Kristu Jayanti University, in collaboration with the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, organised a Life Skills Education Training programme for first-year B.Com PAF students. The event was held from 24 to 29 July 2025 at the Admin Block, Fourth Floor, with the objective of equipping students with essential life skills for personal and professional development. The training programme aimed to foster holistic growth, integrating academic knowledge with practical competencies necessary for success in life and career.
