Preparation for CMA Exam

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized a peer learning session titled “Preparation for CMA Exam.” for the II year B.Com CMA students on 31st July 2025. Ms. Ankitha K, Ms. Elsa Ann James, and Mr. Ujjwal Shankar -III year B.Com CMA students shared their experiences and insights on their experience with cracking the CMA exams. Key discussions focused on the importance of a structured study plan, daily preparation, and adherence to strict timelines. The speakers emphasized practicing sample questions to reinforce conceptual clarity and recommended a diverse range of study resources including textbooks, online platforms, and mock exams. The session was highly engaging and informative, offering actionable strategies and boosting morale through peer interaction and shared experiences.

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed-to-be) University resonated with diplomatic fervor on 17 December 2025 as it successfully hosted its Annual Model United Nations (MUN) Conference. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 142 student delegates representing 129 countries, who engaged in structured deliberations on pressing global challenges through informed debate and collaborative diplomacy.

Movie Chronicle

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized a movie screening of Raid to provide students with an engaging and practical understanding of the procedures and implications of Income Tax investigations in India. The film, inspired by true events, depicts the integrity and diligence of an Income Tax Officer in conducting a high-profile raid against corruption and tax evasion. Through this screening, students gained insights into real-world aspects of tax enforcement, compliance, and ethical decision-making in public administration. The session aimed to bridge theoretical learning from Income Tax studies with practical, real-life scenarios, fostering awareness of transparency, accountability, and integrity in financial practices.


Beat the Buzzer

The event was designed to test students’ creativity, quick thinking, and problem-solving skills in a competitive yet engaging environment.


Nivesh 2.0 – Anybody Can Trade

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, Kristu Jayanti deemed to be University, organized Nivesh 2.0 – with the theme " Anybody Can Trade" on 12th September 2025 for B.Com 1st Year ACCA students. The event featured Mr. Anil Kumar Reddy and Mr. Monoj Gowda V., Co-Founders of Elite Trading Academy. The session provided students with practical insights into trading strategies, market trends, and the importance of financial discipline, inspiring them to explore the world of investments with confidence.


Entrepreneurship - YUKTI

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Kristu Jayanti Deemed to be University, in association with the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, organized a skill development session on Entrepreneurship on 22nd Sept 2025. Resource persons Dr. D. Ravindran and Dr. Panduranganagouda Honnali emphasized YUKTI registration, inspiring students to convert ideas into successful startups.


Vision Vault

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, organized a competition “Vision Vault” by Ventures Club on September 22, 2025 at the A3 Auditorium, Admin Block. The competition brought together enthusiastic students from various streams, providing them a platform to showcase their creativity and innovative ideas. Participants actively engaged in the event, demonstrating teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation skills.


Master of Words 3.0

The Readers Island Club organized an engaging competition titled “Master of Words”, aimed at enhancing the linguistic abilities and critical thinking skills of students. The competition comprised four challenging and interactive rounds-The Wordsmith’s Gauntlet, Crossword, Memory Challenge and Spell Bee. The participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and perseverance as they navigated through the demanding tasks, showcasing their creativity, presence of mind, and strong language skills.


Flip the Finale

On 29th August 2025, the Readers Island Club, under the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, organized an innovative literary event titled “Flip the Finale.” This unique programme invited students to take on the role of authors and reimagine the endings of their favourite books, offering an exciting twist to familiar narratives. Students performed the new ending with expressions, dialogue, and stage presence, transforming the event into a lively celebration of literature and art. This dynamic approach ensured that participants showcased a combination of analytical thinking, creative writing, and theatrical delivery. By striking a balance between fun and skill-building, “Flip the Finale” became more than just a competition—it was an enriching and memorable experience for everyone involved.


Bull Bazar 2.0
Date:21 August 2025
On 21st August 2025, the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance hosted Bull Bazaar 2.0, an engaging three-round finance simulation event for PAF students. A total of 105 students actively participated in the competition. The event began with a quiz and a video-based case study where teams assumed the role of private equity firms pitching ideas to potential investors. In the second round, participants experienced a live mock stock market simulation, making trades and later presenting their portfolio strategies. The final round recreated the atmosphere of a real-time trading floor, featuring challenges like institutional investors, IPO launches, surprise SEBI raids, and sudden market crashes. These twists tested the participants’ ability to think critically and act decisively under pressure. Overall, Bull Bazaar 2.0 served as a dynamic platform for enhancing financial literacy, strategic decision-making, and analytical skills among students.

On August 11, 2025, the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) hosted ATTONARE, a dynamic multi-round business event designed to test creativity, adaptability, and critical thinking. The competition featured three engaging rounds—Brand Battle, Pitch Perfect, and a Crisis Management Finale—where participants showcased skills in persuasive pitching, role reversals, and strategic rebuttals.


Icebreaker Sessions

To foster peer interaction and a sense of belonging, the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized Icebreaker Sessions from 29th July to 7th August 2025 at Kristu Jayanti Deemed to be University. Facilitated by third-year students, the initiative welcomed first-year learners through structured engagement and collaborative activities. Select games such as Instagram Connection and Tower Building promoted digital networking and creative teamwork. The active involvement of senior students added mentorship and motivation. The session concluded with strengthened peer connections and readiness for academic engagement.

Shishtachar-A Session on Professional Ethics

A session titled “Shishtachar – Professional Ethics” was conducted for the students of IV Semester B. Com (IBF) on 12 March 2026 .The session was delivered by Mr. Saravana Pandian P, Senior Trainer at Miles Education, Bengaluru. The resource person threw light on the importance of professional ethics, workplace behaviour, discipline, and etiquette and emphasized on how values such as integrity, respect, punctuality, and responsibility contribute to building a successful professional career.


Panel Discussion on Union Budget 2026

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized a Panel Discussion on Union Budget 2026 under the theme “Growth, Fiscal Discipline & Inclusive Development” for final-year students. Moderated by Mr. Giju Mathew, Senior Manager at Accenture Research, the session covered fiscal deficit targets, tax reforms, capital expenditure, and sectoral priorities. The programme concluded with an engaging Q&A, offering valuable practical insights to students.


Panel Discussion on From Dashboards to Decision Makers: AI-Driven Enterprises

The Speculators Club ,Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized Investors Week 2025. The events included Synapse - Quiz, Bulls and Bears - Debate, Nexus - Crisis Management and Mock Stock followed by the Final Showdown, a fun-filled session incorporating finance-themed games such as Charades and Jeopardy.


Introduction to Financial Planning

The Speculators Club of the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, Kristu Jayanti deemed to be University, organized an awareness programme titled “Introduction to Financial Planning” on 22nd September 2025 . Mr. Renjit Mathew Zachariah, SEBI SMART Trainer, spoke on the fundamentals of financial planning, investment awareness, and the importance of disciplined savings.


Financial Awareness and Consumer Training (FACT)

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance in association with the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), Bengaluru, organized a training session on Financial Awareness and Consumer Training (FACT) for V Semester B.Com CMA students on 18th September 2025. The resource person, Mr. Renjit Mathew Zachariah, Financial Education Trainer, NCFE, Bengaluru, conducted the session, aimed to equip students with essential knowledge of financial literacy, consumer rights, and responsible financial practices. The session provided valuable insights into managing personal finance, enhancing awareness of financial markets, and fostering consumer responsibility, thereby preparing students for better financial decision-making in their academic and professional journey.

Boot Camp

The Speculators Club of the Department of Professional Accounting and Finance, organized a Boot Camp on 25th August 2025.The event featured resource persons Mr. Shaheen Abdullah T B and Mr. Mohammad Omer Y, who provided insights into stock market operations, banking, and investment opportunities. With over 280 beneficiaries, the program successfully combined technical discussions, case studies, and interactive games.
