The Alumni Mentoring Programme connects students with their alumni, who act as guides, facilitators, and sources of inspiration. Its main objective is to foster alumni engagement with their alma mater and provide a platform for sharing valuable experiences. Alumni mentors share their professional and personal expertise, helping students prepare for exams and navigate challenges.

Mentors offer meaningful guidance on exam preparation strategies and provide career and personal development advice. Their insights on managing change and overcoming difficulties have a profound impact. Mentors are encouraged to regularly connect with mentees through calls, meetings, or email, based on individual needs and preferences.

Alumni Meet - 'Comeback Carnival'

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance at Kristu Jayanti, deemed to be University, organized the Alumni Meet – 'Comeback Carnival' on December 13, 2025, bringing together former students to celebrate shared memories and strengthen professional ties. The event was thoughtfully curated with a mix of cultural performances and interactive activities that encouraged active participation and rekindled cherished friendships.


Alumni Mentoring Session-Navigating the CMA Exam Path

The Alumni Mentoring Session was held on 29th September 2025, from 8:00 to 8:50 AM through online mode for second year B. Com with CMA students. Ms. Aneena Telson P from Batch 2020-23, currently working as a Data Analyst at Eton Solutions and Technologies, conducted an insightful session focused on the significance of the CMA certification. She elaborated on effective preparation strategies and highlighted various career opportunities available to CMA professionals. Ms. Aneena also took time to address individual queries, providing personalized guidance to participants. The session was well-received and proved valuable in motivating and guiding students towards their professional goals. Overall, it was an engaging and informative session that enriched the participant’s understanding of CMA.

The resource person, Ms. Mirdula Natarajan, ACCA Affiliate (Batch 2022–25) from Grant Thornton, Bengaluru, shared her experiences on exam preparation, overcoming challenges, and balancing academics with career goals.

Cracking the CPA Code - Insights from a CPA Achiever

The Department of Professional Accounting and Finance organized an insightful session aimed at third-year IBF students to provide them with a deeper understanding of the CPA journey and real-world professional expectations. The session featured a guest speaker Mr. Ritanshu Shukla CPA who shared valuable experiences, practical advice, and strategies for navigating the CPA designation process. This event was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional application, helping students gain clarity, motivation, and direction as they progress in their accounting careers.

The Session had In-depth discussion on CPA study preparation techniques, including time management, resource planning and exam approach.

Emphasis on the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance during the CPA journey. Motivational insights on overcoming self-doubt, staying focused, and setting long-term professional goals.
