The School of Law organized an expert lecture titled “The Digital Handshake on Mastering the Art and Intent of Professional Correspondence” on 7th February 2026 from 11:00 - 11:50 am. The session was conducted for the students of II Semester B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., and B.Com. LL.B. programmes. The lecture was delivered by Mr. D. Mario Clinton, Associate Manager – Finance Controllership, Exotel, who served as the Resource Person for the session.

The session, aims to enhance the student’s understanding of professional correspondence in this digital era. The session focuses on important aspects such as professional communication, formatting and drafting. The Resource Person provided detailed guidance on the art of drafting professional emails. Students were introduced to the correct format of an email, including writing a precise and relevant subject line, using appropriate salutations, structuring the body of the email in a clear and concise manner, and concluding with a professional closing and signature. Emphasis was laid on maintaining a formal tone, avoiding grammatical errors, ensuring clarity of intention, and being mindful of etiquette such as timely responses and proper attachment references. Practical examples were discussed to illustrate common mistakes and best practices in email drafting.


Expert Lecture on “Legal Awareness on Gender Justice & Anti-Discrimination Laws”

The Legal Aid Clinic organised a Legal Awareness Programme on the topic “Gender Justice and Anti-Discriminatory Laws”, delivered by Ms. Ashwini Obulesh, Advocate, High Court of Karnataka, for the students of II Year B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., and B.Com. LL.B. on 5th February 2026 at 2:30 PM in the M4 Auditorium, Main Block, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University). The session provided valuable insights into constitutional and statutory protections against discrimination, the concept of gender justice, and the importance of intersectionality in understanding layered inequalities. Through an engaging and interactive activity, she highlighted how stereotypes continue to shape contemporary society, encouraging students to critically reflect on social biases and the role of law in promoting equality and dignity.
