Intra Quiz Competition
Date:11, 19, 23 and 25th February 2026
An intra-quiz competition was held to commemorate the World Day for Social Justice, with themes including human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. Students from the 1st and 2nd years of the School of Law participated in the Intra Quiz competition. The preliminary round was conducted in each class on 11th February, 2026. A total of 20 students qualified for the next round, and the teams were formed among those selected students having 2 students in each team. Further, 4 teams qualified for the semi-finals round, where there were multiple rounds of questions, including picture-based and reasoning-related questions. The final round was conducted on 25th February, 2026, on the topic of sustainable development goals and social justice, which included rapid fire round, buzzer round and so on. Through this competition, the students were able to explore multiple aspects of social justice and other concerns in society.

Visit to Palace Grounds for Inauguration Programme of E-DAR Implementation and Road Safety
Date: 05 February 2026
The students of School of Law visited the Palace Grounds on 5th February, 2026 to attend the awareness programme aimed at promoting traffic laws, road discipline and public safety. The programme featured an exhibition of luxury cars to attract visitors along with accident-damaged vehicles to highlight the consequences of traffic rule violations. Informative boards explained traffic regulations, safety guidelines and causes of road accidents. Officials also explained the road traffic pyramid of India, the integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) and the Sanjaya Road Safety Super App, emphasizing their role in road safety management. The visit enabled students to connect theoretical knowledge of law with practical aspects of road safety and governance. It also encouraged them to reflect on their role as responsible citizens in promoting traffic discipline and public safety. Overall, the programme fostered awareness and a sense of accountability towards preventing road accidents and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.

Session on Deliberation on the Rights of Prisoners and Detainees with Respect to Humane Treatment and Rehabilitation

This is to inform you that the MUN Facilitation Committee successfully conducted a Single Committee session on 27/01/2026 from 1:40 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The programme was organised on the topic “Deliberation on the Rights of Prisoners and Detainees with Respect to Humane Treatment and Rehabilitation.”
The committee provided a specialised forum for participants to engage in an in-depth analysis of a specific international legal framework, ensuring that deliberations progressed beyond general discussion into advanced statutory interpretation. The session was designed around a single, high-stakes agenda, fostering a focused environment in which collective negotiation led to the formulation of a comprehensive and technically sound resolution.
The programme was meticulously structured to create an immersive learning environment, enabling delegates to confront the complexities of international law through sustained legal and diplomatic discourse. By consolidating all participants into one committee, the session enhanced the depth of debate and encouraged a high level of engagement. Participants demonstrated advanced proficiency in parliamentary procedure, public speaking, and strategic negotiation, while also navigating the delicate balance between national sovereignty and collective international responsibility. Through rigorous negotiation and precise drafting, the assembly successfully bridged diverse geopolitical perspectives and arrived at a unified legal framework reflecting a collaborative approach to global challenges.
The programme was conducted successfully and achieved its intended academic and experiential objectives.The session was conducted as a student- and faculty-led academic simulation, and no external resource person was involved.

Gantantra Diwas Utsav 2026
Date: 22 & 23 January 2026
In observance of Ganatantra Diwas, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), School of Law, organized a series of student competitions on 22nd and 23rd January 2026. The events aimed to foster constitutional awareness, patriotism, and a sense of unity among students. The competitions included Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Poem Writing, and Essay Writing, which were compulsory for all participants. In addition, Extempore Speech and Public Forum were conducted on the theme of “Unity and Solidarity.” Students actively participated and showcased creativity, critical thinking, and strong communication skills. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation across all first and second year batches batches. It successfully integrated academic learning with creative expression, reinforcing the ideals of democracy, unity, and fraternity enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

Expert Lecture on “Mental Health and Stress Management: Building Resilience for a Balanced Life”
Date: 13 October 2025
On 13th October 2025, an expert lecture on “Mental Health and Stress Management: Building Resilience for a Balanced Life” was organized by the Committee for Commemoration of important Days School of Law in collaboration with the Centre for Life Skills Education . The session was led by Ms. Jyotsna L, Student Counsellor at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University). It aimed to help first-year students understand and manage stress while developing resilience for a balanced life.

Legal awareness programm
Date: 29 September 2025
The Legal Aid, in collaboration with the Clinic Committee for Community Education, organized a legal awareness programme with the active participation of first-year law students. The primary objective of this initiative was to create awareness among community members about their basic rights and entitlements, while also sensitizing students to the importance of law as a tool for social empowerment. As part of the programme, students conducted a survey and visited around10 families in the neighbourhood. During these visits, they interacted with residents, explained fundamental rights, and specifically addressed the rights of workers and laborers. The sessions highlighted essential legal protections available to them, enabling individuals to recognize their entitlements and avenues for seeking support.

Charity visit - Liza’s Home
Date: 27 September 2025
The visit extend much-needed assistance to Liza’s Home but also create an enriching learning experience for our students. It will strengthen the bond between our institution and the wider community while instilling in our students a sense of gratitude, empathy, responsibility, and service towards society. By embracing universal human values, this initiative aims to make a positive difference in the lives of the residents while nurturing socially conscious and compassionate individuals for the future
