Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) conducted Expert session on “Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Start-ups” for II MCA students on 27/02/2026 between 11 am and 1 pm. The session was delivered by Prof. Stephen Deepak, Vice President, Institution’s Innovation Council and faculty member of the institute. He elaborated on strategic sales planning and result-oriented marketing approaches for start-ups. The discussion highlighted the importance of understanding customer needs and building strong value propositions. Students gained practical insights into digital marketing trends and competitive positioning. The programme received support from Dr. Muruganantham and Dr. Ravindran. The event was successfully organized by Dr. Vimala Roselin.

Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology hosted an Expert Talk on TRL, MRL, IRL, IP Commercialisation, and Technology Transfer for II Semester MCA students on 20 February 2026 at the P2 Conference Hall.The session was conducted between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.The talk was delivered by Dr. Jagadeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Professional Management Studies.He explained the various stages of technology readiness and innovation maturity.The session highlighted methods for converting innovative ideas into commercially viable products.Students gained practical exposure to industry-oriented innovation and commercialization frameworks.The programme enhanced students’ understanding of real-world technology transfer processes.The event was effectively organised by Dr. Ravindran and Dr. Vimala Roselin J , contributing to the participants’ academic and professional development.


Expert Talk on Computing Spectrum of AI – Challenges and Opportunities

The Department of Computer Science (PG), School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), in association with IEEE Student Branch inaugurated the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter with an Expert Talk on Computing Spectrum of AI – Challenges and Opportunities on 31 January 2026 at 10:00 AM.

The program featured an inaugural address and expert session by Mr. Dilip Kumar Dalai, Vice Chair of the IEEE Computer Society, Bengaluru Section, and Scientist ‘F’ at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Bengaluru. During the inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of professional bodies like the IEEE Computer Society in nurturing technical competence, ethical responsibility, and career readiness among students.

In the expert talk, Mr. Dalai discussed the expanding scope of Artificial Intelligence, covering its computational foundations, real-world applications, and key challenges in deploying AI systems at scale. He also highlighted emerging opportunities in AI-driven research, defence applications, and industry innovation, encouraging students to continuously upgrade their skills in line with evolving technological demands.

The interactive session witnessed active participation from students through questions and discussions on AI careers, research pathways, and future trends. Overall, the programme was informative and impactful, strengthening students’ technical awareness and professional engagement through the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch.


Expert Talk on “Data Without Borders: The Evolution from Physical Storage to Autonomous, AI-Driven Cloud and Edge Systems”

The Department of Computer Science (PG), School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), organized an Expert Talk on “Data Without Borders: The Evolution from Physical Storage to Autonomous, AI-Driven Cloud and Edge Systems” on 24 January 2026 at 11: 00 AM in the M1 Auditorium, Main Block. The programme was conducted for the II and IV Semester MCA, M.Sc. Computer Science, and M.Sc. Data Science students, with 334 beneficiaries. The session was delivered by Mr. Ramkumar Nagaraj, Senior Computer Scientist at Adobe Systems Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, who provided an insightful overview of the evolution of data storage technologies from traditional physical storage systems to network-attached storage and modern cloud infrastructures, highlighting the impact of internet growth and data-driven applications on scalable computing systems.

The expert further discussed the emergence of edge computing as a solution to latency and real-time processing challenges and emphasized the role of AI-driven autonomous data management in transforming cloud and edge environments through intelligent decision-making and automation. He also shared insights on emerging technologies, future system architectures, and industry-relevant skills, along with potential career paths in cloud computing, AI, and distributed systems. Practical project ideas were discussed to encourage hands-on learning, and the interactive session enabled students to engage actively through questions related to real-world applications and career readiness. The Expert Talk was informative and impactful, motivating students to pursue continuous learning and prepare effectively for future professional challenges.


Expert Talk on “Hackers Don’t Knock – Why Security is Non-Negotiable”
Date: 23 August 2025
The resource person for the expert talk was Mr. Jithu Joseph, Senior Security Analyst at [24]7.ai, Bengaluru. With strong expertise in application security and secure architecture, Mr. Joseph shared critical insights on the non-negotiable role of security in modern technology ecosystems.

The session, titled “Hackers Don’t Knock – Why Security is Non-Negotiable”, emphasized the increasing number of cyberattacks and the devastating impact of security breaches. Mr. Joseph elaborated on best practices for application security, the importance of proactive measures, and strategies to mitigate risks in both academic projects and professional environments.

He also provided practical advice on adopting secure coding practices, understanding vulnerabilities, and staying updated with the latest security trends. The talk was highly engaging, supported with real-world case examples that made the concepts relatable for the students of MCA, M.Sc. CS, and M.Sc. DS.


Tech Talk Series on CTRL+ALT+AI - Rebooting Your Career for Future

The Department of Computer Science (PG), School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti University organized a Tech-Talk under the Tech-Talk Series on the theme “CTRL+ALT+AI: Rebooting Your Career for Future” on 21st August 2025. The session was organized only for the III Semester MCA, M. Sc. Computer Science, and M.Sc. Data Science students. The Department facilitated the session, and resource person Mr. Rahul Bharath, a guest, discussed what is the space of disruptive AI and its impact on today’s careers. He pressed on and said AI-enabled technologies are redefining industries and bringing in new possibilities, which necessitate a new way for students to skill themselves. He highlights the need for adaptability, interdisciplinary skills, and for students to concentrate on problem-solving over and above tech skills. The session also touched upon key career-building aspects in AI-infused spaces - creativity, ethical AI, and entrepreneurial thinking. In an interactive session, the resource person motivated students to welcome change and learn the latest job-related developments in the changing tech world. It was an interesting talk which offered insightful motivation, it helped to provide us a glimpse of the future, and how to plan our career post AI.


Expert Talk on “Interview Intelligence: Strategies for First Impressions That Last

As part of the Expert Talk series, Mr. Soosai Agnel Jude S, Senior Director – HR at Movate, delivered a powerful session on mastering the art of interviews. He began by explaining the three critical phases of an interview: Before, During, and After. In the "Before" phase, he stressed the importance of researching the company thoroughly and understanding the specific role being applied for. During the interview, he advised students to present themselves confidently, maintain positive body language, and build rapport with the interviewer through relevant questions and engaging communication. He also shared techniques on how to introduce oneself, ways to tackle unexpected questions, and how to recover from nervousness during the interview process. For the “After” phase, he emphasized sending a thank-you or feedback email, and connecting with the interviewer on LinkedIn with a polite message. The talk concluded with a Q&A session where students discussed training opportunities, working locations, and personal interview challenges. The entire session was highly interactive, relatable, and packed with real-world advice.
