The Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology (KJIT), Kristu Jayanti University(KJU), in association with the KJU Data-Bridge Society, organized a technical event titled “The Data Hunt” on 12th August 2026 at Class Room No. B214, Airport Road Campus. The event was organized for the students of MCA, M.Sc, Data Science, and M.Sc, Cyber Security, with the objective of providing students with an engaging platform to apply their knowledge and skills in the field of data and technology.
The event was facilitated by Mr. Rohit Odiyar, III M.Sc. Data Science, who guided and coordinated the participants throughout the event. The Data Hunt was designed to encourage students to explore data-driven concepts through an interactive and challenging learning experience. It provided an opportunity for participants to apply their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technical knowledge in a practical setting.The event emphasized the importance of data interpretation, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in the field of technology. Through the activities involved in the Data Hunt, students were encouraged to approach challenges systematically, identify relevant information, and make effective use of their technical and analytical abilities.
The event also promoted teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration among students from different postgraduate programmes. Orientation on Jayantian Centre for Counselling and Wellness

Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology organized an Orientation Session on "Jayantian Centre for Counselling and Wellness" on 07 August 2026 for the First Semester and Third Semester MCA/M.Sc DS/CS/CYS students in the A2 Auditorium from 1:40 PM to 4:30 PM. The session was conducted by Ms. Jena Regina Issac, Student Counsellor, Kristu Jayanti University.
The primary objective of the session was to familiarize students with the counselling and wellness services available on campus and to promote their mental, emotional, and academic well-being. During the session, the resource person addressed common challenges faced by students, including stress management, anxiety, time management, interpersonal relationships, and career-related concerns.
Students were encouraged to openly express their concerns in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. The interactive nature of the session, along with the question-and-answer segment, enabled students to seek guidance on personal, academic, and career-related issues.
Resource Person also shared practical techniques such as positive thinking, goal setting, relaxation exercises, and effective time management strategies to help students improve their overall well-being. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academic responsibilities and personal life and encouraged students to seek professional counselling whenever they experienced emotional or psychological difficulties.
The orientation session was highly informative and beneficial. It helped students understand the significance of mental health, emotional wellness, and the counselling support available at the institution, thereby motivating them to approach their academic and personal lives with greater confidence and resilience.
Techn Ignite-“Societies Inguaration”

A technical society awareness session was conducted by Ms. D. Gokila, Assistant Professor, KJIT, and Ms. Abhinaya, Assistant Professor, KJIT, to introduce students to the various technical societies functioning under the TECH IGNITE – Technical Societies initiative of Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology (KJIT). The session focused on creating awareness about the purpose, activities, and opportunities offered by the different technical societies. The resource persons also explained how participation in technical societies can help students improve their teamwork, leadership, communication, problem-solving, programming, innovation, and research-oriented skills. Students were motivated to identify their areas of interest and actively engage with the appropriate technical society to enhance their knowledge and professional competencies. The session concluded with an interactive discussion in which students were encouraged to clarify their queries regarding the different technical societies and their activities. The session provided students with a better understanding of the opportunities available through technical societies and motivated them to actively participate in society activities for their overall technical and professional development.
Tech Talk on "The World Wide Web: Past, Present, and Future"

To commemorate World Wide Web Day, Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology (KJIT) organized a Tech Talk on "The World Wide Web: Past, Present, and Future" on 01 August 2026 at the A2 Auditorium, Airport Road Campus. The session was delivered by Mr. Donald Jeffery, CEO, Jeff Group of Companies, Bangalore, for the I Semester MCA, M.Sc. Cyber Security, and Data Science students. The programme was graced by Dr. R. Kumar, Dean, KJIT, who welcomed the resource person by presenting a sapling as a symbol of sustainability and appreciation. Dr. Muruganantham A, Head of the Department, honored the speaker with a memento. The session focused on the evolution of the World Wide Web, emerging technologies, and future digital innovations. Students actively participated in the interactive discussion and gained valuable insights into industry trends, web technologies, and career opportunities. The event was effectively coordinated by Dr. R Velmurugan, Programme Coordinator. Dr. Vimala Roselin J. served as the Event Coordinator, ensuring the smooth execution of the programme. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, making the World Wide Web Day celebration informative, engaging, and memorable for all participants.
Universal Human Values (UHV) Programme

The Universal Human Values (UHV) Programme for the I Semester students was successfully conducted by the Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology during the academic year 2026–2027. The initial sessions of the Universal Human Values (UHV) course focused on helping students understand themselves, their aspirations, and the importance of values in leading a meaningful life. The programme began with an interactive introduction session that encouraged students to know one another and build a positive learning environment. Students then explored their personal aspirations, concerns, and life goals through discussions and self-reflection activities. The sessions emphasized the fundamental human aspirations of continuous happiness and prosperity, highlighting that lasting fulfilment comes from harmony within oneself, healthy relationships, and responsible living rather than material success alone. Students also reflected on their aspirations and concerns at the individual level, identifying factors that influence their thoughts, emotions, and decisions. The Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology organized an Alumni Interaction Session for final-year students with Mr. Anish Samuel, Data Engineer Manager at Google. The session focused on corporate expectations, career readiness and the importance of relevant technical skills. He encouraged students to remain flexible, strengthen their fundamentals and understand their strengths and weaknesses.
He also highlighted the need to build a strong professional identity and recognize the value one can contribute to an organization. Students were advised to seek opportunities proactively, maintain realistic expectations and learn from experience. The session motivated them to develop confidence, character, adaptability and a responsible approach towards their careers.

The Centre for Life Skills Education (CLSE), in collaboration with the Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology (KJIT), Kristu Jayanti University, organized a Life Skills Training Programme on 27th to 28th July 2026. The programme was conducted for First Semester MCA, M.Sc. Cyber Security, and M.Sc. Data Science students. The event was coordinated by Dr. R. Gayathri and Dr. Angeline Prasanna G, who ensured the successful planning and execution of the two-day programme.
The training focused on developing essential life skills required for academic excellence, personal well-being, and professional success. The sessions covered self-awareness, empathy, effective communication, creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, coping with emotions, coping with stress, and the practical application of life skills. Interactive activities, group discussions, case studies, and experiential learning exercises encouraged active student participation and engagement.

Shubh Aarambh - Inauguration of the Academic Year 2026–2027

A faculty orientation meeting was conducted by Dr R.Shankar , Assistant Professor, KJIT, to discuss the preparation and submission of essential academic documents required for effective teaching, quality assurance, and academic audit. During the session, the prescribed format and the required contents of the Faculty File were explained in detail. Faculty members were guided on maintaining systematic records of Faculty academic performance, Research, participation of FDP, Achievements, and involvement in various curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. The importance of documenting Faculty participation in workshops, seminars, conferences, competitions, online certification courses, Research activities, and other Publication initiatives was also discussed. Detailed guidelines were provided on maintaining relevant supporting documents, such as Publishing Details, participation records, progress of Research, Publication details, and evidence of Faculty achievements. faculty members understand the expectations for each document.
Technical Session on “IQAC - File 1 Orientation”

The Kristu Jayanti Institue of Technology, Kristu Jayanti University organized a technical session titled “IQAC - File 1 Orientation” on 15 July 2026 for the benefit of 25 Faculty Members. The session was facilitated by Dr Sangeetha V who addressed the faculty members on the importance of effective planning, documentation, and continuous improvement in departmental activities. The session aimed to review the progress of academic and administrative initiatives while ensuring that all departmental records and plans were updated in accordance with institutional requirements.
During the meeting, Dr. Sangeetha V discussed several important topics, including the Review of the Meeting, Annual Strategy Plan, Resource Person Details, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Collaboration, Linkage, Media Release, and the Academic Calendar of the Department. She emphasized the need to strengthen academic collaborations with industries and educational institutions, organize expert lectures and faculty development programmes, maintain proper documentation of departmental activities, and ensure the timely implementation of strategic plans. The discussion also highlighted the importance of preparing media releases for significant events and maintaining updated records of resource persons and institutional linkages.
The faculty members actively participated in the meeting by sharing their suggestions and reviewing the progress of the department's ongoing initiatives. Various action points were finalized to improve coordination, enhance academic quality, and ensure the successful execution of departmental plans throughout the academic year. The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to achieving the department's objectives through effective teamwork, regular monitoring, and adherence to the planned academic calendar, thereby contributing to the overall growth and excellence of the department.
File 4 – Activity File Orientation

The Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology (KJIT), organized File 4 Orientation Programme for the Faculty Members in the Department on 15 th July 2026. The IQAC Activity File Orientation was conducted to familiarize faculty members with the proper preparation and maintenance of activity files as per IQAC guidelines. Ms. Abinaya S, Activity File Coordinator explained the standard reporting format and highlighted the importance of maintaining complete documentation, including Geo-tagged action photographs, participant lists, attendance records, circulars, invitations, and other supporting evidence.
The session also emphasized consistency in documentation, adherence to submission timelines, and best practices for preparing reports that meet accreditation and Institutional quality standards. The interactive programme provided participants with an opportunity to clarify their queries, strengthening their understanding of systematic and evidence-based documentation.
IQAC File Orientation Programme

A faculty orientation meeting was conducted by Dr. D.Gokila , Associate Professor, KJIT, to discuss the preparation and submission of essential academic documents required for effective teaching, quality assurance, and academic audit. The session focused on 7(a) Course Plan, 7(b) Teaching Learning Methods Adopted, 7(c) Teaching Learning Pedagogy, 7(d) E-Resources, 7(e) AAA Report, and 7(f) Efforts Taken to Cater to Advanced and Slow Learners.
During the session, the prescribed formats and the required content for each document were explained in detail. Faculty members were guided on preparing the Course Plan with proper syllabus mapping, Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), assessment schedules, and week-wise teaching plans. The importance of documenting diverse teaching-learning methods, learner-centric pedagogies, and relevant e-resources was also discussed. Detailed guidelines were provided on preparing the AAA Report with appropriate evidence and maintaining systematic records of initiatives taken for Advanced and Slow Learners, including remedial classes, mentoring, enrichment activities, and learner support programmes.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion on documentation standards, supporting evidence, submission timelines, and quality expectations. Faculty members clarified their queries and were instructed to prepare all documents using the prescribed departmental templates and submit them within the stipulated schedule for review and record maintenance.

The Session aimed to focus on the importance of maintaining accurate academic records and teaching plans. The session highlighted the role of the curriculum file in ensuring quality teaching and learning. Different sections of the file were explained with practical examples. The orientation also emphasized following institutional guidelines and educational standards. The Session helped to understand the importance of documentation for inspections and academic improvement. The program improved the knowledge of curriculum preparation, planning and record management.

Kristu Jayanti Institute of Technology (KJIT) organized a Learning Management System (LMS) Orientation Programme on 04 July 2026 at 9.00 AM in the P1 Laboratory for the newly joined faculty members of KJIT.
The programme was conducted by Dr. S. Karthik, Associate Professor, who introduced the participants to the University's Learning Management System and demonstrated its effective use in academic activities.
The session covered course management, uploading learning resources, attendance, assignments, quizzes, assessments, grading, student progress monitoring, announcements, and communication tools. A live demonstration and hands-on practice enabled the participants to gain practical experience in using the LMS efficiently.
The orientation concluded with an interactive discussion and doubt-clearing session, helping the newly joined faculty members understand the effective integration of the LMS into teaching and learning practices. The event was organized to promote the importance of yoga in enhancing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of educators, enabling them to lead healthier, more focused, and productive professional lives. Faculty members and staff actively participated in the session, making the event both engaging and inspiring. The program was coordinated by the Faculty Coordinators, Dr. R. Gayathri and Dr. Princess Maria John, who facilitated the successful planning and execution of the event.
The resource person for the program was Mr. K. S. Raghu Prasad, Yoga Trainer and CEO, Kausalya Technologies, Bengaluru, who shared valuable insights into the significance of yoga in everyday life. He highlighted that educators often face demanding schedules and workplace stress, making it essential to adopt practices that improve health, concentration, and emotional resilience. He emphasized that regular yoga practice enhances physical fitness, reduces stress, improves posture, increases flexibility, and promotes mental clarity, thereby contributing to better teaching effectiveness and overall productivity.
The practical session included warm-up exercises, stretching techniques, basic yogasanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and guided meditation. Participants actively practiced each exercise under the guidance of the resource person, who explained the health benefits and correct techniques for performing them safely. Special emphasis was placed on breathing exercises and mindfulness practices that help improve focus, reduce anxiety, and maintain emotional balance.

The Department of Computer Science (PG), School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti University, in association with SynHera, the Women’s IT Society, organized a session titled “Ctrl + She” as part of a student engagement initiative. The session aimed to encourage active participation, critical thinking, and awareness of socially relevant issues. The activity was centred on the theme of Women Empowerment. Random participants were invited from the audience and asked to pick a topic related to the theme. Based on the selected topics, the participants were grouped accordingly and given time to discuss their ideas and viewpoints within their respective teams.
After the discussion phase, each group presented their key points and collective opinions before the audience. The participants confidently shared diverse perspectives, practical insights, and possible solutions to promote gender equality and empowerment.
