Overview

The Department of History and Political Science (HSPS) at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru was established in 2006 with a clear objective of fostering deep historical understanding, critical thinking, and research aptitude among students. The department emphasizes diverse approaches to political analysis, political philosophy, social theory, political economy, public administration and its principles, international relations, and approaches to world politics and peace.

Over the years, the department has cultivated an engaging learning culture that connects past knowledge with contemporary perspectives, encouraging students to apply lessons from History to present-day challenges and future opportunities. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with a higher secondary certificate or equivalent from a recognized Indian/ Foreign educational institution with 40% marks (35% for SC/ST students of Karnataka region) or Equivalent CG PA are eligible to apply.
