Value Added Course on Gender Sensitization
Date: 16 to 22 July 2026
The Department of Social Science and Languages organized a Value Added Course (VAC) titled “Gender Sensitization” for the III Semester M.A. Public Administration students from 16th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026. The course aimed to enhance students’ understanding of gender equality, gender justice, and the importance of fostering an inclusive and equitable society. Through interactive lectures and discussions, students were introduced to the concepts of gender, major theoretical perspectives, and the constitutional and legal framework for promoting gender equality, with a focus on the role of public administration in creating gender-sensitive governance.

As part of the course, students actively participated in group discussions, role plays, and case study analyses on gender-related issues. These participatory activities encouraged critical thinking, empathy, and respect for diversity while enhancing students’ awareness of gender rights and social responsibility. The course successfully integrated theoretical knowledge with practical learning, strengthening students’ commitment towards gender-sensitive and inclusive governance.

Value Added Course on Research Skills for Social Sciences
Date: 15 to 22 July 2026
The Department of Social Sciences and Languages organised a Value Added Course on “Research Skills for Social Sciences” for the III Year HSPSSO students from 15 July 2026 to 22 July 2026. The programme aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of the research process and develop essential research competencies in the Social Sciences. The course covered the complete research process, including problem identification, literature review, research design, sampling, data collection, data analysis and report writing. Special sessions on research ethics and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in research familiarised students with contemporary research practices and ethical standards. The Department remains committed to fostering research aptitude among students through such skill-oriented initiatives that bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application.
