Orientation Sessions on the Jayantian Centre for Counselling and Wellness

The Department of Management in collaboration with Jayantian Centre for Counselling and Wellness conducted orientation sessions on the Jayantian Centre for Counselling and Wellness for the 5th, 3rd and 1st semester BBA students on 11th & 13th August 2026. The resource person for all three sessions was Ms. Nissi Anna Biju, Student Counsellor, Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru. The sessions were focused to create awareness among students about the importance of mental well-being and the counselling support available on campus. The sessions sensitized students to common university-life challenges such as academic stress, anxiety, loneliness, homesickness, relationship concerns, sleep and self-esteem issues and encouraged them to seek support without hesitation. Students were introduced to the counselling services available, including individual counselling, crisis support, group sessions, consultation, referral support, and outreach programmes, along with the counselling process and the importance of confidentiality, respect, safety, and informed choice. The sessions also highlighted the role of peer support and encouraged students to listen without judgement and guide peers towards professional help when required. Overall, the sessions was informative and impactful, reinforcing the message that seeking help is a sign of strength and that no concern is too small to talk about.

Internship Orientation -2026

The Department of Management, School of Business and Management at Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru, organised an Internship Orientation Programme for IV Semester BBA students on 16 February 2026 at M1 Audi, Main Block, benefitting more than 335 students. The session aimed to prepare students for their upcoming internships by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. The resource person, Mr. Somasundaram T, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Kristu Jayanti University, provided valuable insights into the importance of internships in career development. He emphasized workplace professionalism, ethics, communication skills, and teamwork as essential competencies for success along internship procedures, documentation, and report preparation requirements in detail. The session guided students on selecting suitable internship domains aligned with their career goals. Practical tips on networking and adapting to corporate culture were shared to enhance employability. The orientation enabled students to understand performance expectations and professional conduct during internships. Overall, the programme was informative and empowered students to approach their internships with clarity, responsibility, and confidence.
