As the Head of the Department of Physical Sciences at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, I am pleased to welcome students, parents, and stakeholders to a department committed to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. Our teaching–learning philosophy is rooted in multidisciplinary education, integrating physical sciences, mathematics, computing, and data to foster analytical thinking and practical understanding. We offer innovative dual- and triple-major undergraduate programmes that blend strong theoretical foundations with laboratory work, computational learning, and real-world problem solving. The department nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and ethical values while supporting students through mentoring, skill development, and research exposure to prepare them for higher studies and diverse career paths. Looking ahead, we are expanding our academic offerings with postgraduate programmes in Applied Statistics and Data Analytics and Physics, a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics (open to graduates from all disciplines), and a PhD programme in Physics (Focus Area: Materials Science).
