Career Kickstart
Date: 13 December 2025
The Department of Physical Sciences, School of Computational and Physical Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), organised Career Kickstart (A Panel Discussion) for II- and III-year UG students on 13 December 2025 at the M1 Auditorium, Main Block.

The session featured eminent speakers from Fujitsu Consulting India Pvt. Ltd.—Mr. Anthony Vincent B, Program Manager, and Newspace Research Technologies—Mr. John Jose, Senior Engineer (PMO). They briefed students on career pathways, recruitment procedures, essential skills, and growth opportunities in both industry and research.

The interactive session enabled students to clarify their career-related queries and gain practical insights from industry experts. The programme was well received by the participants and proved to be informative and motivating for their future professional pursuits.


Career Orientation Programme
Date: 26 September 2025
The Department of Physical Sciences, in collaboration with the Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR), organized a Career Orientation Program on 26th September 2025. The expert speaker for the session was Mr. Rahul Kolle, Project Manager at Cisco, who delivered an informative and engaging talk for the V semester B.Sc. Physical Sciences students.

The session provided a comprehensive overview of interview preparation and resume building, beginning with key techniques for effective preparation and areas requiring improvement. This was followed by a constructive analysis of strategies for developing a strong resume.

Designed to equip final-year students with essential career skills, the program offered valuable insights to enhance their performance in future interviews and placement opportunities. A total of 140 students participated in the program, making it a highly beneficial and impactful initiative.


Placement Orientation Training Program
Date: 31 July 2025
The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations organized a placement orientation training program for the students of Department of Physical Sciences in the A2 Auditorium. The session aimed to enhance student’s employability skills and prepare them for the job market. Prof. Sen B Mathews initiated the session, highlighting the importance of timely placement registration and explaining the procedures involved. This was followed by Mr. Jinu Mathew, who further addressed key aspects of the placement process. Students were highly engaged, showed great enthusiasm, and asked numerous questions, making the session interactive and insightful. The program was well-received and provided valuable guidance for their career preparation.
