The Department of Commerce organized a Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) for Commerce faculty members on 25th June 2026 with the objective of equipping faculty with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance research, teaching, curriculum design, and academic delivery. The programme featured three expert-led sessions by faculty members of the Department of Commerce. The first session, "Enhancing Research Productivity with AI Tools," was delivered by Mr. Amirdha Vasanai, Assistant Professor of Commerce, who introduced participants to a range of AI-powered research tools for literature review, academic writing, reference management, data analysis, and research productivity. The second session, "Usage of AI Tools for Presentation, Gamification & Curriculum," was conducted by Mr. Dhanapal C., Assistant Professor of Commerce, who demonstrated innovative AI applications for creating engaging presentations, developing gamified learning activities, and designing outcome-based curricula using intelligent digital platforms. The final session, "Usage of AI Tools in Teaching and Learning," was facilitated by Dr. Aardhra Vasudevan, Assistant Professor of Commerce, who showcased AI-enabled teaching strategies, content generation tools, assessment techniques, and personalized learning applications that can transform classroom instruction. The programme provided faculty members with valuable hands-on exposure to emerging AI technologies and their practical applications in higher education. The interactive sessions significantly enhanced participants' digital competencies, enabling them to integrate AI into research, teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement, thereby reinforcing the department's commitment to innovation, continuous professional development, and excellence in commerce education.

The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with Edify Institute of Computers LLP, organized a three-day Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) for Commerce faculty members from 22nd to 24th June 2026 with the objective of enhancing their digital competencies and industry-relevant teaching skills. Mr. Rakshith, Head of Edify Institute of Computers, conducted hands-on workshops on Advanced Microsoft Excel and Zoho Books on 22nd and 23rd June 2026, enabling participants to develop expertise in advanced data analysis, reporting, cloud-based accounting, bookkeeping, GST compliance, and business automation. On 24th June 2026, Ms. Priyanka B. S., Corporate Trainer at Edify Institute of Computers, facilitated a practical workshop on Get Response for Email Marketing, where faculty members gained hands-on experience in creating email campaigns, audience segmentation, marketing automation, and performance analytics. The interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and real-time exercises significantly enhanced the participants' proficiency in emerging digital tools, empowering them to integrate technology into teaching, research, and academic administration. The programme proved to be a valuable professional development initiative that strengthened the faculty's technological capabilities and reaffirmed the department's commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in commerce education.
