National Level FDP on “Advanced & Industry-Oriented Curriculum Design in Commerce and Management”

The Department of Commerce under the School of Commerce, Accounting and Finance at Kristu Jayanti Deemed-to-be University organized a five-day online National Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Advanced & Industry-Oriented Curriculum Design in Commerce and Management.” The programme was conducted from 9th to 13th March 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM via Zoom. The FDP aimed to enhance faculty members’ understanding of designing industry-relevant curricula that align with emerging trends in commerce and management education.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Vijaya Kumar R, Dean, School of Commerce, Accounting and Finance, who highlighted the importance of continuously updating academic curricula to meet the evolving demands of industry and society. The FDP featured distinguished resource persons including Atul Pratap, Rabi Narayan Padhi, and Sreevidya Subramanyam. The speakers shared valuable insights on industry expectations, innovative curriculum frameworks, and strategies for integrating practical and skill-based components into commerce and management programmes.
The sessions provided participants with practical perspectives on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The FDP enriched the faculty members’ understanding of developing dynamic and industry-oriented curricula, thereby enabling them to design more relevant and impactful academic programmes in the field of commerce and management.

Seven Days National Level Virtual Faculty Development Programme On Converging Minds And Markets: Financial Wellbeing & Psychological Resilience
Date: 08 to 16 September 2025
The Seven-Day National Level Virtual Faculty Development Programme on ‘Converging Minds and Markets: Financial Wellbeing & Psychological Resilience’ was organized by the School of Commerce, Accounting & Finance in collaboration with the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, from 8th to 16th September 2025. With 75 participants, the FDP featured expert sessions on intelligent investing, risk assessment, behavioral finance, sustainability, and mindful decision-making. The programme integrated insights from finance and psychology to strengthen financial literacy and resilience. The outcome highlighted innovative pedagogical approaches that empower faculty to promote holistic wellbeing in academic and research contexts.
