Welcome to the Department of Life Sciences. It gives me immense pleasure to share our vision with students, parents, and all stakeholders who place their trust in our academic community.

Our department believes in a student-centered teaching–learning approach that blends strong conceptual foundations with hands-on experience. We strive to create a learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and knowledge is applied meaningfully. Through innovative teaching practices, modern laboratory exposure, and experiential learning, we ensure that students learn not only from textbooks but also from real-world situations.

We are deeply committed to the academic excellence, personal growth, and career readiness of our students. Our dedicated faculty mentor students closely, helping them develop critical thinking, research aptitude, ethical values, and confidence. Equal emphasis is given to academics, skills, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Through our Biopreneur initiatives, internships, industry partnerships, and startup support, we seek to bridge the gap between education and employability. Continuous upgradation of laboratories, digital infrastructure, and faculty development remains central to our future plans.

Looking ahead, the department aims to strengthen research, industry collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We are continuously updating our curriculum, expanding skill-based programmes, and encouraging student-led research and startups to prepare learners for emerging challenges in life sciences. We also aim to introduce interdisciplinary courses aligned with emerging life science technologies. Our focus is equally strong on research and innovation, with clear goals to enhance research funding, publications, collaborations, and international academic engagement.
