Alumni Expert Lecture Series – Prison Rehabilitation and Correctional Administration

The Department of Forensic Science, School of Biological and Forensic Sciences, organised an Alumni Expert Lecture Series for the final-year B.Sc. Forensic Science, Criminology, and Biochemistry students. The expert lecture was delivered by Mr. Santhosh Praburaj A,an Alumni of BSc.Forensic Science 2020-2023 batch currently serving as the Project Executive, PATAM, Central Prison, Trichy, on the topic “Prison Rehabilitation and Correctional Administration.”

The lecture provided students with valuable insights into the functioning of correctional institutions, prison administration, and the importance of rehabilitation in the criminal justice system. The session highlighted the role of correctional administration in maintaining institutional discipline while supporting the reformation and reintegration of offenders into society.

The lecture served as an opportunity for students to gain practical perspectives from an experienced professional in the field and helped them understand the application of their academic knowledge in correctional and criminal justice settings.
