Inquisitor’26 - National Intercollegiate Fest

Inquisitor 2026, the 5th edition of the National Intercollegiate Forensic Science Fest organised by the Department of Forensic Science at Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru, was successfully held on 17th February 2026. The fest emerged as one of the most anticipated academic celebrations of the year, bringing together bright minds from across the country in a vibrant celebration of forensic inquiry and excellence.

This dynamic fest brought together students from B.Sc. Forensic Science, Life Sciences, Law, and various other disciplines, creating a multidisciplinary forum that celebrated collaboration, creativity, and forensic excellence. The fest witnessed an overwhelming response, with 100+ participants representing more than 11 institutions across the nation. The enthusiastic participation reflected the growing interest and passion for forensic science among young scholars. Each event saw intense competition, with participants showcasing exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, courtroom acumen, creativity, and subject expertise. The diversity of perspectives and exchange of knowledge made this edition of INQUISITOR truly enriching and intellectually stimulating.

This year, INQUISITOR 2026 hosted 10 meticulously curated events designed to test investigative aptitude, forensic reasoning, communication skills, creativity, and innovation. Participants engaged in a variety of competitions including forensic investigations, role-plays, debates, quizzes, business proposals, and artistic interpretations. Adding fresh challenges and dynamic engagement, the fest introduced three exciting new events that expanded the horizons of forensic learning and application.

Flagship Events
• Objection Overruled – A mock trial event testing forensic reasoning, argumentative skills, and courtroom strategy across two competitive rounds.
• Sherlock & Watson – A personality-based forensic contest where participants processed a crime scene, analysed evidence, and delivered expert witness testimony.
• Cross Examination – A case study presentation event evaluating analytical depth and forensic reasoning.
• Wiz Quiz – A two-round forensic science quiz challenging participants’ subject knowledge and speed.
• Life Jacket – A role-play event navigating participants through a forensic-themed investigative scenario.
• CrimeToonist – A creative sketching competition assessing observation and forensic illustration skills.
• Room of Opinions – A debate event evaluating persuasive abilities and critical forensic reasoning.
• Tail a Trail – A crime-scene-based challenge testing observation, deduction, and problem-solving skills.
• Foren X – A business proposal competition encouraging entrepreneurial thinking and innovative solutions to contemporary forensic challenges.
• CSI’s Canvas – A detailed sketching event focusing on precision, attention to detail, and accurate visual portrayal.

The inauguration of INQUISITOR 2026 was marked by dignity and inspiration. The inauguration was graced by the esteemed presence of Manohar Bangera, Chief Marketing Officer at Vedicon Solutions Pvt Ltd, who served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. His dynamic leadership, strategic vision, and professional achievements served as a source of motivation for all aspiring forensic professionals. As a gesture of warmth and in keeping with the Jayantian tradition, Rev. Fr. Dr. Lijo P. Thomas, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director, School of Law, presented a plant sapling to the esteemed Chief Guest, symbolising growth, sustainability, and knowledge.

The presence and guidance of Rev. Fr. Dr. Lijo P. Thomas added immense value to the occasion. His steadfast commitment to academic excellence, holistic education, and value-based leadership continues to strengthen every initiative at Kristu Jayanti University. His encouragement and visionary outlook inspire students and faculty alike to strive for greater heights.

The fest was ably coordinated under the guidance of the Faculty Coordinators, Ms. Aathmika S. and Ms. Pallavi A. Rao, whose dedication and meticulous supervision ensured the smooth execution of every segment of the event.

The Forensic Science Club, led by its energetic secretaries Mr. Sam Daniel Edwin and Ms. Aishini G, pulsed with enthusiasm and commitment. Their leadership and teamwork truly gave life to INQUISITOR 2026. Special appreciation is extended to the Event Coordinators, Mr. Mischeal Godwin and Ms. Sri Ineya K, whose meticulous planning and tireless dedication transformed vision into reality. Their coordinated efforts, creativity, and perseverance contributed significantly to the grand success of the fest.

INQUISITOR 2026 stood not merely as a fest, but as a celebration of inquiry, innovation, and intellectual empowerment. It provided budding forensic professionals with an opportunity to refine their investigative acumen, enhance their scientific temperament, and cultivate professional competence in a competitive yet collaborative environment.

With its spirit of curiosity and excellence, INQUISITOR 2026 once again reaffirmed its position as a premier national platform that nurtures the forensic minds of tomorrow.

Atrium 2025 – Bone Voyage Intradepartmental Forensic Science Fest

The word Atrium comes from Roman architecture, where it depicts a central open space- a place filled with light, connection, and life. Just like that, our fest 'Atrium' is a vibrant forum that brings everyone together, creating a space to share ideas, showcase talent, and celebrate unity.

Atrium 2025 – Bone Voyage stands as a vibrant intradepartmental fest, celebrating the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and forensic excellence. This year’s theme, Bone Voyage, takes participants on a journey through the stories that bones and evidence can reveal. The fest brings together students from I and II year B.Sc. Forensic Science, B.Sc. Forensic Science, Criminology, Biochemistry and B.Sc. Forensic Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry. With a blend of scientific insight and innovative thinking, Atrium 2025 provides a platform for students to showcase their skills, talents, and passion through a series of intellectually stimulating and engaging events.

Atrium 2025 witnessed an overwhelming response, with 600 + participants from I and II year B.Sc. Forensic Science, B.Sc. Forensic Science, Criminology, Biochemistry and B.Sc. Forensic Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry from 11th September 2025 to 20th September 2025 which witnessed Prelims, Semifinals and finals of various events. The Finals Day of the fest was on 23rd September 2025 which witnessed the passion of students toward forensic science and their healthy competitive spirit. The inaugural ceremony of the fest was presided over by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jais V Thomas, Financial officer in Charge, Kristu Jayanti University and the chief guest was Mr. Yeshwanth Tamilselvan, Head HRM, Ready Assist, Bengaluru. In his presidential address, father enlightened about importance of forensic science and its scope in everyday life. Mr. Yeshwanth Tamilselvan spoke about the need for forensic enthusiasts to be in touch with everyday happenings and to look out for advancements in the field. He encouraged students to keep upskilling and following their dreams and motivated them to use opportunities provided during such fests to empower themselves. In the valedictory ceremony, Fr. Deepu Joy, Director Student Welfare Office, Kristu Jayanti University, Bangalore exhorted the students to keep trying and giving their best in fests such as this. They also felicitated the winners of various events and appreciated the Forensic Science club secretaries and Fest coordinators for having conducted the forensic fest successfully.

The enthusiastic participation reflected the growing interest and passion for forensic science among students. Each event saw fierce competition, with participants showcasing their analytical skills, critical thinking, and subject expertise. The sheer diversity of talent and knowledge exchange made this edition of Atrium a truly enriching experience for all involved.

This year, we hosted 18 meticulously curated events, with 25 teams named after bones, reflecting the theme “Bone Voyage”. Each event was designed to test analytical thinking, forensic knowledge, problem-solving, and communication skills. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their expertise in forensic investigations, role-playing, debating, and quizzing. This year, Atrium 2025 introduces three exciting new events, adding fresh challenges and opportunities for creativity, forensic skills, and analytical thinking. -


Inquisitor 2025, An Inter-collegiate Forensic Fest

The Forensic Science Club, under the Unit of Forensic Science, hosted *Inquisitor 2025*, an inter-collegiate forensic fest designed for forensic science students from institutions across India. This fest aimed to assess and enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of forensic science through a variety of engaging, science-related events.

Organized by student coordinators from the Forensic Science Club at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore, the event was executed by the BSc Forensic Science 6th-semester students, who took charge as event planners and team organizers. Participants included forensic science students from four different institutions nationwide.

The fest featured eight high-quality events conducted offline on the college campus. To ensure fairness, each participant received a unique code, and internal students were not permitted to compete, making it an exclusive platform for external participants. The events included Spontanea (Jamming Event), Forensic Frontier (Business Plan), i-Witness(Observation Test), X-Word (Crossword),Cross Examination (Case Study Presentation), Wiz Quiz(Forensic Quiz), Life Jacket(Role-Play Debate), and Sherlock Holmes (Personality Contest).

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Fr. Joshy Mathew, Principal of Kristu Jayanti College, along with Chief Guest M. Murugendraiah, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sampigehalli Sub Division, Bengaluru, and Guest of Honour Mr. Domala Sai Krishna, Managing Director of Virtual Protect Security Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. The valedictory ceremony was led by Fr. Deepu Joy, Student Welfare Coordinator, who felicitated the winners and commended the Forensic Science Club coordinators for their efforts in successfully organizing the fest.
