Faculty Enrichment Programme on Behavioural Ethics in Digital Education: Cognitive Biases, Social Influence and Moral Judgement

The Department of English at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, organized a Faculty Enrichment Programme on “Behavioural Ethics in Digital Education: Cognitive Biases, Social Influence and Moral Judgement” on 19 June 2026 at the H2 Auditorium, Humanities Block. The session was conducted by Dr. Smitha A.G., Head, Department of Psychology (PG), who explored how cognitive biases, social influences, and moral reasoning shape ethical decision-making in digital learning environments.
The programme highlighted the importance of ethical awareness, responsible use of technology, and reflective decision-making in higher education. Through engaging discussions and practical examples, participants gained valuable insights into fostering integrity, fairness, and accountability in academic spaces. The session was well received and encouraged faculty members to strengthen ethical practices in teaching, learning, and professional interactions.

A Three Day National Level Workshop on Research Methodology

The Department of English, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), organized a Faculty Enrichment Programme – A Three-Day National Level Workshop on Research Methodology from 19th to 21st August 2025. The sessions were conducted virtually through the Zoom platform. The workshop aimed to enhance faculty members’ expertise in research writing, proposal development, and the use of AI in academic publishing. Dr. Sathyaraj Venkatesan, Professor of English, NIT Trichy, inaugurated the series with his session on Research Writing: Tools, Techniques, and Tips. Dr. Priyanka Tripathi, Associate Professor of English, IIT Patna, delivered a session on the Fundamental Components of Research Proposal. Dr. J. Shiny Priyadarshini, Assistant Professor, Madras Christian College, Chennai, engaged the participants with her lecture on AI for Research Writing and Publishing. The sessions were highly interactive and provided participants with valuable insights and practical approaches to research. A total of 443 participants from across India registered and actively took part in the programme. The workshop received highly positive feedback, highlighting its relevance, organization, and the expertise of the resource persons. Overall, the Faculty Enrichment Programme was a grand success, fostering academic growth and strengthening the research culture among faculty members.
