A Day in the Life of a Jayantian
Every day I wake up with the same confusion whether to go to university or not. But somehow, I still end up going. That confusion has now become a mandatory part of my morning.
My dad drops me near Hennur Cross, and that’s where the race begins.
Whether it’s a morning class or an afternoon class, the bus war is always there. Usually, the Bagalur bus arrives every 5 minutes, but I’m a bit lazy to walk all the way to university. So, we Jayantians eagerly wait for that one single bus, the 293N, which comes only once in an hour. We wait for it like an eagle waiting for its prey.
When the wait is finally over and the bus arrives, all the Jayantians rush into it like it’s real life Squid Game. Somehow, after all the pushing and chaos, we finally reach our college frustrated, tired, and hating life to the core.
But the moment you step into the campus, everything changes. You feel refreshed, calm, and at peace like the college itself takes away all your tiredness.
Classes go on with some interactive sessions, some backbench gossips, and small tours with friends around the canteen and campus. These little breaks, filled with jokes and chai, make the day more colorful.
Finally, the day ends with mixed feelings of frustration, laughter, endless jokes with friends, and the comfort of a hot chai. But the real highlight is when you check your attendance at the end of the day if it’s above 85%, nothing can match the happiness of escaping and saving your name from the month-end shortage list.
