September 5th is the birth date of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Former President of India, a Philosopher, and most importantly, a beloved teacher. Thus, Teacher's Day is celebrated on this date to honour his bond and relationship with his students. The word 'Teacher' is not confined to the classroom or to any chapter of books. They are the torchbearers of knowledge and wisdom who act as guiding lights in students' lives. Teachers do not just provide students with knowledge; they build character and inject values into their lives. A Teacher can transform a student's life as well as the future of the Nation. Teacher's Day reminds us of a simple truth: "A great teacher educates and inspires." On this special Day, let us honour and thank all teachers for their invaluable contribution to shaping the minds and hearts of generations.
