On October 24th, 2025, the Jayantian Extension Services (JES) and the Committee for Social Activities (CSA) collaborated with the Department of Commerce, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), along with St. Mary's PU College in Geddalahalli, to initiate an awareness session titled "Red Blossom: The Rhythm of Nature and Strength of Women." The session, led by Dr Amritha J. Shetty, an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Rainbow Children's Hospital, featured roughly an hour of active discussion on menstrual health and hygiene. Dr. Amritha focused on safe menstrual practices and how to use sanitary products safely. She busted myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation while encouraging participants to take the lid off discussions about female wellness. Students were interactive in the session, requesting clarification on menstrual hygiene and breaking a tribal taboo which is accumulated over the years. The awareness session built confidence and pushed participants beyond their comfort zone, addressing menstruation in an honest and dignified manner as a natural part of life.
At the event's close, participants were left with a renewed understanding and respect for women's health and wellness. Red Blossom was reimagined with a positive spin, symbolic of an awareness session that breaks taboos, while encouraging the rhythm and strength of womanhood, nature, or otherwise.
