Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) partnered with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to support the national "Swachhata Hi Seva 2024" initiative, which focused on creating a cleaner and greener India. As part of this, the college’s Jayantian Extension Services, including various student bodies like NSS, NCC, Red Cross, and others, engaged in cleaning and painting identified blackspots in BBMP Ward No. 25.
The event took place on October 7, 2024, and was inaugurated by notable dignitaries such as Shri. Basavaraj Ba, Former Urban Development Minister and MLA of K.R. Puram; Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal of Kristu Jayanti College; Shri. K.N. Ramesh, IAS, Zonal Commissioner of the Mahadevapura Zone; and Dr. Dakshayini, KAS, Joint Commissioner of the Mahadevapura Zone, BBMP.
The initiative aimed to reinforce the importance of cleanliness in urban spaces and encouraged both youth and local communities to participate in making their surroundings more hygienic, while instilling values of sustainability, community service, and civic responsibility. This event represented a significant step towards the collective effort to achieve a garbage-free India.

To honour Mahatma Gandhi's 153rd birthday, On October 1, 2022, the Karnataka Civil Defence Corps of Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous hosted a cleanliness drive. KCDC Faculty Coordinator, Prof. Manjunath S initiated the programme by addressing the volunteers about the need for such an action. More than 150 KCDC volunteers have actively involved in the clean drive. Area chosen for this drive is K Narayanapura .The purpose of the programme to keep our society clean and make the world a better place. Volunteers have been divided into small groups and were directed to various parts of K Narayanapura area for cleaning. KCDC Coordinators Mr. Chandraseskhar, Ms. Ashwitha, Dr. Eshan M R, Mr Vinod Baburao and Dr Kiran Babu N C have led the volunteers.
Clean campus drive reminded the volunteers for the need of cleanliness and they found it as one of the best lesson that they learned through the KCDC activities. The volunteers expressed their experience and promised to share the need for cleanliness out of the campus to the society.
To Commemorate 152nd Gandhi Jayanti , Jayantian Extension Services CSA/NSS/UBA of Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous Organized SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN- A CLEANLINESS DRIVE on 25th September, 2021 near Sampigehalli Auxiliary Tower Station, Sri Venkateshpura Layout, Sampigehalli North Bangalore. It provides a great platform for the students to develop skills in social activities. Around 64 Volunteers of CSA/NSS/UBA were involved in the drive. The staff coordinators gave necessary instruction to the Students regarding the drive. The Students were divided into Groups of 9 to 12. They cleaned the surrounding area with help of implements provided to them. All the students completed the work by 12:30 pm.
On 7 July 2018 around 60 CSA Volunteers of 3 and 5 semester gathered in the car parking area of the college campus at 1.15 pm for the Campus Cleaning Campaign. The student coordinators along with the staff members gave necessary instructions to the students regarding the event. The students were divided into groups of 6 to 8. They were given garbage bags. Each group was sent to different places within the campus like parking area, college ground, cafeteria, outer cafeteria etc. All the groups returned to car parking area by 1.45 pm. The wastes collected were segregated into paper, plastic, dry, wet etc. and were carefully disposed.
Centre for Social Activities organized Clean Campus Drive on 15th July 2017. It was conducted between 1:45 to 3:30pm. Around 120 volunteers were present for the program and with the guidance and support of our faculty coordinators the program was a successful one. It had a great effect on the students to maintain cleanliness and safeguard the campus. Students cleaned the following venue such as playground, students parking area, cafeteria and food court. Garbage bags and necessary cleaning materials were distributed among the students. The students segregated the wastes in to dry, wet and plastic waste. All the wastes were disposed in respective dustbins kept in the campus.
Centre for Social Activities of Kristu Jayanti College organised Campus Clean Drive on 2nd October 2015 in the college Premises. To mark the Gandhi Jayanti Celebration, CSA volunteers actively involved in campus cleaning. CSA volunteers dedicated their time and strength to make surroundings of college hygienic.
